To live a hundred years, and even 17-760 to increase further. This is the first meaning. Whoever generates the mind of enlightenment and abides in the conduct of a Bodhisattva will never be reborn in the three lower realms of hell, animal realm, and the realm of Yama, the Lord of Death. Furthermore, the so-called "unfree states" refer to the remaining unfree states, such as being born in the realm of the gods without perception, in a world without the sacred Dharma, being born as a barbarian, a holder of wrong views, or those with incomplete faculties. Here, the realm of Yama refers to the realm of the preta. Therefore, one will not be born in these unfree states and will always remember rebirth, which is the second meaning. If a Bodhisattva with great compassion, whose object of practice is emptiness, practices and accomplishes this vidya-mantra, then writing, offering, and reciting this mantra is equivalent to the merit of those who have not accomplished the vidya-mantra having the eighty-four thousand sections of Dharma written, which is the third meaning. Similarly, consecrating it is equivalent to making a vast great offering, which is the fourth meaning. Not only will one's own great sins be purified, but also the writer and the patron, regardless of which of the five heinous crimes they have committed, will be purified immediately, which is the fifth meaning. A heap of sins as large as Mount Sumeru, and accumulating various and extremely numerous sins, will also be purified, which is the sixth meaning. Mara and others, Mara is the killer, that is, the Lord of the Other-Controlled Emanation Heaven, the sinful god of desire. The types of Mara include the four great kings who protect the realm of Mara, gods and spirits who belong only to the dark side, and those humans blessed by them, such as barbarians, evildoers, those with power, and those who harm those who teach the path of detachment. The so-called yakshas and rakshasas, even if they are not types of Mara, refer to those who are fierce, cruel, and do evil. In short, neither humans nor non-humans will cause harm, and untimely death will be averted. Not only the practitioner himself, but also his retinue and locality, which is the seventh meaning. At the time of death, one will see the Buddha.
