That which is held by the mind of enlightenment, and placed with the aim of becoming a Buddha, making it the seed of the accumulation of causes for attaining Buddhahood sometime, or as the root of growth and development, greatly increasing other virtues from this virtue, may I become a Buddha for the sake of sentient beings. This is the thought. Here, "may it become" is not only a prayer, but a ritual for receiving the mind of aspiration. Therefore, the "seed" here is the cause of growth. No matter what kind of sentient being, it is impossible that there is no virtue of the three fruits, whether matured or not, in their continuum, and it is impossible that both kinds of virtue are absent. Just that much will not actually turn into the cause of growth, but the seed of virtue is nourished again by a new virtue, and held by the altruistic mind of enlightenment, by the power of all my new and old virtues, how wonderful it would be if I could become a Buddha in the future. Increasing other virtues from this present virtue, from the time that the thought of becoming a Buddha arises, even to the point of giving rise to a non-artificial thought, such a seed of virtue is the cause of growth, it is the basis for the growth of all the dharmas of the path, and it will not be exhausted until enlightenment is attained, and it is very stable. In the future, whether or not it is held by the mind of enlightenment, all the virtues done by oneself will cause it to grow, therefore, they are the cause of growth. Thus, in the great ritual of generating the mind of enlightenment, by me, named so-and-so, from beginningless samsara until now, the root of virtue arising from generosity, arising from discipline, and arising from meditation, what I have done, 17-667, or encouraged others to do, or rejoiced in others' doing, the root of virtue arising from that. Thus it is said. In this treatise, it seems that it is briefly stated that I, by any of the three ways, accumulate the accumulation of merit, which is the seed of my omniscience. Here, the root of virtue and the seed also become synonyms of names. In a very brief ritual, recite "by the merit of my giving, etc." My enlightenment refers to what I will do in the future...

May the enlightenment that has been attained, for as long as samsara exists, and for as long as space exists, may body, wisdom, and activity never be exhausted. This is a prayer. This inexhaustibility is not present in the enlightenment of hearers and solitary realizers; it is a characteristic of unsurpassed enlightenment. Dedicating the merit to be one with the dharmadhatu also makes it a unique cause of inexhaustibility. Ultimately, inexhaustibility is the dharmadhatu, and the practitioner himself also merges into the state of primordial wisdom, the three inexhaustible qualities. During the stage of the path, contemplating oneself, focusing on the dharmadhatu, practice depends on practice. Therefore, this should also be remembered during generation of bodhicitta and dedication. By dedicating unconditioned virtue and generating the mind towards it, the dharmakaya will be attained. By dedicating conditioned virtue and generating the mind towards it, the rupakaya will also be attained. In the extensive ritual, continuing from the above, with the root of virtue, just as the previous Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly complete Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas abiding on the great earth, for the sake of liberating sentient beings who have not been liberated, for the sake of freeing sentient beings who have not been freed, for the sake of giving breath to those who have not obtained breath, and for the sake of completely liberating those who have not completely passed beyond suffering, the "may it not be exhausted" here indicates that in order to liberate limitless sentient beings, it will not be exhausted. In the extremely concise ritual, reciting "for the benefit of beings" is sufficient. In the extensive ritual, just as generating the supreme bodhicitta, I, also named so-and-so, also generate the unsurpassed, perfectly complete bodhicitta. Etc., here it is "my enlightenment" and "may it become." That is, generating the mind of enlightenment, one must definitely attain enlightenment, and for that reason, the intention to desire enlightenment will not change. This is its meaning, and it is the same as the meaning of may enlightenment be attained. In the extremely concise ritual, it is may Buddhahood be accomplished. This is taking the aspiring bodhicitta.
