Because it has never existed, it is impossible to establish separate self-entities on the Dharma nature of the form aggregate, and because the reasoning of Dharma nature is also free from elaboration. Because it does not hold the characteristic of being a different counterpart in comparison with form. If emptiness itself of the Dharma realm is taken as the basis of distinction, then there is no form other than that, because the Dharma nature exists but the form aggregate does not exist, and also because of the previous reasons. For example, when looking at a conch shell by someone with jaundice, one will not see it with white lumps coiled around it, but will see it with yellow lumps coiled around it. Even if one sees it, the coiled yellow color is only an illusion and does not exist from the beginning, while the white color does exist. Therefore, considering the oneness of the appearance of yellow and the two whites as having no different basis, the yellow color seen is not something else, but the conch itself. The conch is the yellow color you see. There is no conch other than the yellow color you see. The yellow color you see is not established apart from the conch. It is like saying this, and it is very appropriate in meaning. According to the view of those who assert self-emptiness, since they believe that emptiness pervades ultimate truth, the form aggregate would become truly existent in ultimate truth. Therefore, it is appropriate to say that emptiness is not form, nor is it something different from form. It is not permissible to say "form is empty" or "emptiness is form." In this way, this is the second statement that clearly shows the great Madhyamaka of Other-Emptiness. Explaining it in this way is showing it as it is clearly shown in the direct statement and refutation of this sutra. If explained according to the hidden meaning, there are only establishing words. Whatever is the form of the Dharma nature's ultimate truth, that is the wisdom of emptiness; whatever is the wisdom of emptiness, that appears as the form of the Dharma nature. By showing this, even if it is only understood that the two have a common basis, there may be doubts that the wisdom of emptiness is not the form of ultimate truth, and that the form of ultimate truth is not the wisdom of emptiness. In order to dispel this doubt, it is said, "form also," and so on. Here, emptiness is not just mere emptiness, but the wisdom of two emptinesses. The form aggregate of ultimate truth is not a form aggregate, but the Dharma realm

Among all the various forms of aggregates, the ultimate form of the form aggregate is called the Dharmata form aggregate or the ultimate form aggregate. The remaining aggregates are also similar. Likewise, feeling, perception, mental formation, and consciousness are all emptiness. Emptiness exists between feeling and consciousness. Emptiness is not other than feeling and consciousness. Feeling and consciousness are also not other than emptiness. Combine it in this way. Concluding the explanation of such emptiness, it is said: Therefore, all phenomena are emptiness. Just as the venerable one said: Except for the Dharmadhatu of phenomena, because there are no phenomena, therefore it is so. The absence of characteristics means that the conventional is empty of its own nature, therefore there are no characteristics of it. Just as a vase is not truly existent, so the characteristics of a vase are also not truly existent. Although the ultimate is existent by its own nature, the characteristics of the ultimate are not established by nature. Because the sign, the signified, and the basis are merely established by mind and do not exist in reality. Similarly, because there is no birth, it is said that there is no cessation. These two, birth and cessation, are also similar to the previous ones. In the conventional, there is only the appearance of the characteristics of birth and cessation, but it is only an illusion. If the conventional itself does not exist at all, then it has no cause for birth and no cause for cessation, therefore there is no birth and no cessation. Although the ultimate is empty by its own nature, the three, birth, cessation, etc., are not established in it, therefore it is unborn and unceasing. Thus, emptiness means empty of the compounded. Therefore, compounded things, characteristics, birth, and cessation are all merely conceptual constructs, so they are shown to be non-existent. And Dharmata means empty of conceptual construction. If one thinks that merely compounded things cannot be made into conceptual constructs, then, if it is a conditioned phenomenon, it is not necessarily a conceptual construct. However, all conditioned phenomena have the characteristic of conceptual construction, because all conditioned phenomena, when summarized, are ultimately only the object and the subject. From the perspective of the object being grasped on top of the subject, the subject itself seems to be able to exist independently, which is a conceptual construct, therefore all knowledge has
