I, the Ox. The interior of the back is adorned with the Five Tathagatas. Outside the four gates are jeweled steps, and beyond that are stables for mounting and dismounting horses. Beyond that are the eight great charnel grounds: in the east, fierce and violent; in the south, terrifying skull-bearer; in the west, roaring and blazing; in the north, dense and tangled; in the southeast, the forest of power; in the southwest, endless darkness; in the northwest, clamorous sounds; in the northeast, laughing loudly. The eight great trees are: Hara, Chuta, Ashoka, Ashvattha and Karanja, Jalati and Partipa, Beta and Nibhata. At the roots dwell the eight guardians of the directions: Indra in the east, Yama in the south, the water deity in the west, and Yaksha in the north. Bhungpo in the northeast, Agni in the southeast, Rakshasa in the southwest, and Vayu in the northwest. In the sky dwell the eight great gods: Shiva in the east, Brahma in the south, Vishnu in the west, and Maheshvara in the north. In the four intermediate directions, northeast and so on, are the six-faced lord of hosts, Bhrngiriti, and the well-endowed black one. In the water dwell the eight great Nagas: Dhrtarashtra, Shankhapala, Takshaka, Ananta, Padmamaha, Kampila, Dhananjaya, and Padma. The field guardians dwelling on the branches of the trees are the same color as their respective directional guardians, with the faces of their respective mounts, holding curved knives and skull-cups filled with torma. The eight great clouds are: proclaiming yellow, reversing blue, terrifying white, revolving yellow, thick white, filling red, raining black, and violent green. Furthermore, there are eight mountains, eight stupas, eight rivers, and eight fiercely blazing fires. Furthermore, the charnel ground is filled with corpses, zombies, flesh-eaters, bhutas, rakshasas, birds, wild animals, heroes, yoginis who have attained siddhi, the substances of siddhi, and all offerings, a charnel ground from which siddhis arise. These are surrounded by the silks of the palace, white in the east, yellow in the south, red in the west, green in the north, and blue in the center, with a variegated eight-petaled lotus in the center. The four directions are red, the fire and wind are yellow, the truthless is green, the powerful is blue, and the outermost is surrounded by a vajra-black circle. In the center, on a sun disc, is Brahma, the yellow one, the essence of the four maras.
