Etc. 12-355 Near him was a green goddess, who said, "You should study the Mahayana well." He went to Kashmir and listened to many Mahayana sutra and tantra teachings. He made the Holy Tara his personal deity. Because he could not find a place to listen to the Prajnaparamita, he heard that in Central India there was a teacher named Drolde who taught the Prajnaparamita. So he went to Central India, but on the way he was captured by robbers. They said, "We need to offer the warm blood of a killed person to the goddess Durga, that's why we caught you." When he arrived at the place of the goddess Durga, which was like a cemetery, he prayed to the Holy Tara, the statue of the goddess split into many pieces by itself. The robbers were also frightened and ran away, and the teacher was saved. There was also a teacher named Subhasha Kirti, who was a great Vinaya holder, who relied on the Tara-appearing tantra internally as his practice. Once he went from Central India along the western direction, and eventually built a monastery on a mountain. Because he taught the Dharma, the Sangha also grew a lot. There were many Garlog officials there, and those bald-headed, red-clothed people will harm us, we must destroy all of this, so an army of about three hundred elephants came. There he prayed to Tara and others, she said, "Sprinkle water in the direction the army is coming from." After doing so, all the elephants were very frightened and scared, and no one could control them, so they went back on their own. There was also a teacher named Buddha Dasa, who was the Khenpo of Dhana Puri, once he went on a journey and in an empty village there were many tiger dens. The teacher asked about the situation and learned that the tigers eat many people in the city every day, let alone other small creatures. He felt great compassion, 12-356 and as he walked along the road, all the tigers came towards the teacher. He prayed to Tara, chanted mantras and sprinkled water, and those tigers became peaceful in mind, from then on they did not harm living beings, fasted and died, and were reborn as a symbol of the gods.

A great rain of flowers fell on the ground. Also, there was a disciple named "Servant of the Three Jewels," who was a student of the teacher Dignāga. He was teaching the Dharma in the eastern region of Oḍiviśa. Once, a great poisonous snake emerged from the great ocean and devoured many people and elephants. When it approached the city of Utkala, he saw that countless beings would be harmed. He fervently prayed to Tara and scattered mustard seeds enchanted with Tara's mantra, saying, "Although this place is held by the Earth Lord, you have a mind to benefit beings. Heed my words and vanish beneath the earth!" As soon as he spoke, the snake immediately retreated, following the course of the Ganges River into the ocean.\ Also, there was a teacher named Yeshe Lha, a disciple of Shantideva. He engaged in the activities of listening and teaching Dharma for a long time in the southern Indian region of Trima. Finally, he decided, "I will go to the snowy mountains to practice." So he set out towards the north and did various beneficial things in the region of Tirahuti. At that time, in one part of that region, a small city belonging to the Tharu people was afflicted by a Brahma Rakshasa. From the village chief to the agricultural teacher, everyone died at the same time. On that day, the teacher arrived there, and a terrible corpse arose and ran towards him. He threw a phurba (ritual dagger) enchanted with Tara's mantra, and the phurba dissolved into the crown of the corpse's head, causing it to fall. He entered the city and prayed to Tara, and a great rain of nectar that could revive the dead fell, reviving most of the dead people in the city.\ There is also a story about achieving accomplishment even without practicing the eight siddhis: A monk who practiced Tara as his yidam went begging in order to build a temple. A Brahmin gave him a full measure of barley, which the monk made into balls and placed in a Tara temple. He left the remainder in the sun, and the wind blew dust from gold powder, molasses, and other ingredients for making the balls onto it. He made another ball from these materials, and while reciting mantras, the center of the ball...
