Although this may be true, it should be known that this is not the work of this scholar. The main disciple of this scholar is the Omniscient Friend (Thams-cad mkhyen-pa'i bshes-gnyen), and furthermore, countless scholars who have accomplished the mantra of Tara have appeared. The Omniscient Friend imparted the teachings to Dhana Mitra, who imparted them to Tathagata Mitra, who imparted them to the Sinhalese Dharma Mitra, who imparted them to Shila Rikshata. This was contemporaneous with Sgeg pa'i rdo rje. The former scholars say that from that time onward, the lineage has not been broken, which is stated in the histories of the scholars and the verses of stories. In those circumstances, 12-353 The story of how eight scholars were saved from eight fears is as follows: In southern India, there was a scholar named Di-ka war-ma, who was a great master who upheld the Vinaya and held a great collection of treatises, and who was one who had accomplished the mantra based on this very Tantra of Yamari and Tara. He debated with a heretical Brahmin scholar named Ga-pu-ra in the region of southern Vidarbha. The heretic was defeated, so the Buddhists seized all of his places of activity. Then, when that scholar was teaching the Dharma and giving a feast together with the monks in the monastery, the heretics set fire to the monastery. The scholar prayed to the venerable Tara, and the venerable Tara went into the expanse of the sky, and a stream of water actually descended from the sky and extinguished the fire. Furthermore, there was a scholar named A-ma-ra sing-ha, who was an ordained royal scribe who spoke of the Abhidharma of the Great and Small Vehicles. Relying on the Tantra of the arising of Tara, he made the Holy Tara his main practice. He established a residence in the western region of Malawa, teaching the Abhidharma to about five hundred students of Abhidharma, and he stayed in that place for twenty-four years. There, he was surrounded by a retinue of about five hundred who were training their minds in the Abhidharma. Once, in that area, there was a Naga king of the black side named Lalita. He suddenly sent down an unbearable heavy rain, and from the rain water, a stream of water arose as large as the Yamuna River, and the scholar's residence and,

When (that dragon) was about to carry away many cities, that scholar prayed to the supreme Tara, so that the water made many clockwise circumambulations around the settlement, including the city of Udyana, and finally fell into another great river, and that dragon carried away its own residence and a small Turkic city. Scholar 12-354, Tara prophesied, "You should write a thesaurus," so he wrote the Immortal Treasury. Until now, this book is very popular both inside and outside India. It is said that the "king's scribe" mentioned here refers to King Viprakarma Deva. There was also a scholar named Lion of the Gods, who resided in the position of a householder, was well versed in the sutras and treatises of both the Great and Small Vehicles, and was the master of King Hriharsha Deva of the Kashmir region, and was a speaker of the Dharma. He was trusted by kings, patrons, Brahmins, and various other people in Kashmir, Lahore, Maru, and other places, and built about five hundred Buddhist temples. Because he widely preached the Dharma in Ghazni and other places near Kashmir, the customs of the Turkic ogres almost disappeared. A cannibal king imprisoned this scholar, saying, "Give up taking refuge in the Three Jewels, it would be good to believe in the customs of the heretics, if you don't believe, I will kill you." The scholar said, "Even if I die, there is no other refuge other than the Three Jewels." So he was put in iron shackles and thrown into a terrible prison. The scholar prayed to Tara, the deity in his heart, and the iron shackles turned into a chain of flowers. The goddesses rained down flowers and sandalwood powder like a great rain in the prison, and made a great sound of music. The Turkic king came to see and saw that there were no iron shackles, and put on another pair of iron shackles, which also turned into a garland. In this way, seven pairs of iron shackles turned into garlands. The king was amazed and regarded him as a place of offering. However, because he was unable to promote the holy Dharma there, he became disgusted and went to Kashmir. There was also a Sanghamitra, a great scholar of the Vaibhashika school, in a dream, the Great Sage.
