. In this Joyful Vajra blending transference, the root of the illusory body's instructions is made to be dreams. For a beginner, the experience of illusion in the waking state is difficult to arise suddenly by force. Therefore, it is necessary to first emphasize practice in the waking state itself. More important than illusion is only tummo. However, through the instructions of dream yoga, even a beginner can immediately generate experience. If that happens, it will also be effortless to generate the experience of illusion in the waking state, so if one goes through the secret path of dream yoga, the illusory body in the waking state will be effortless. Therefore, the root of the illusory body in the waking state and the bardo is dream illusion. In the context of the explanation of the tantras of this tradition, it is also said that tummo is practiced at the navel, clear light at the heart, illusory body at the throat, and action mudra at the crown of the head. When applying the four paths to the four chakras, the reason why the instructions for the illusory body are emphasized at the throat is that. Other traditions have other ways of explaining it, but I won't go into detail here. Second, to stabilize and increase the experience that has arisen, there are two types: appearance illusion and bardo illusion. The first is divided into two types: actual and enhancement. The first is the meditation of the waking state. For a sharp-witted person, once they have grasped and mastered dream yoga, there will also be a spontaneous arising of waking meditation. For a person of medium ability, the experience of dreams can be generated by simply expanding the current appearance. Here, it is best if a person of inferior ability can master dream yoga purely. If not, as long as one can grasp dream yoga and cultivate the experience of illusion, one can meditate like this during the day: The preliminaries are performed as before. As before, focus slightly on the syllable Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 嗡) at the throat, thinking that these containers and contents of oneself and others are appearances without inherent existence, like a dream. Mix the experience of dreams with mindfulness and rest for a while. Meditate repeatedly, one session of contemplation. Then, on top of that, all appearances disappear like a rainbow dissolving into the sky. Meditate repeatedly on resting without thinking anything, two sessions of contemplation. Then, as before, first send forth the intention of non-reality and non-conceptuality, and from within emptiness, visualize oneself as the deity Hevajra or the form of Nairatmya. Visualize all containers and contents as deities.

Me, I contemplate in the celestial palace. Three stages of visualization. May illusion manifest as a deity, and also arise spontaneously. If it arises, that is sufficient. Otherwise, on the wheel of the mandala, cultivate the aspiration of illusion. Four stages of visualization. In all session intervals, cultivate the aspiration of the deity's form and illusion. Five stages of visualization, which are five stages of visualization divided from one great visualization. The second is: Then, place a mirror in front of yourself. When your reflection appears, think that many people are praising and making offerings. Have no attachment to the reflection. Think that they are scolding and beating you. Have no hatred for the reflection. Think that everything is like this. One stage of visualization, which is to place it between yourself and the mirror and meditate, two stages of visualization. Meditate on yourself in the same way, three stages of visualization. Likewise, have the image of the painted statue of the yidam appear in the mirror in a tilted posture and meditate. 11-216 And so on, there are also three. These six stages of visualization are for enhancing power. The illusion of dreams and waking, up to this point, is the actual path for diligent ones to attain enlightenment in this life. That is, by meditating on both tummo and dreams, it is best if experience arises in both. Still, practice and cultivate both. Even if it arises in only one of them, it is sufficient to focus on that and meditate. Whichever it may be, it needs to be completely impartial. That is rare for people nowadays. A meditation of equipoise is indispensable. Because of that, it will also be possible to blend with all of death and the bardo. Second, in the instructions on the illusion of the bardo: First, relying on the first bardo, the clear light of death, to recognize the dharmakaya, is one. This is said to belong to the aspect of attaining enlightenment in this life, so the bardo is very important. Second, relying on the second bardo, the illusory body, to recognize the body of union, is two. The third bardo, blocking the birth gates of the six realms, is three. These two are the actual instructions for attaining enlightenment in the bardo. In the remaining meaning, fourth, if the birth gates are not blocked, there is the instruction of existing in the mud of the birthplace, is four. That is also said in the root texts: If one has some experience of dreams or tummo, although it is said that one should meditate only at the time of death, if one does not practice now, one will not have confidence.
