These teachings, 5-141 Were not widely propagated openly to both common and uncommon disciples during the time when the noble father and sons were actually living in Jambudvipa. At that time, they mainly elucidated the principles of the Sutra system, and in terms of mantra practice, they only clarified the Kriya and Charya tantras as appropriate. Therefore, they were not propagated at that time like Nagarjuna's collections of words, collections of reasoning, and collections of praises. Similarly, the Lamp for Wisdom is also said not to have been composed and propagated when Chandrakirti was actually practicing in the human realm. These teachings were transmitted from Nagarjuna's direct disciple, the teacher Naga Bodhi, who, after attaining the rainbow body of Vajra, resided on Mount Shri for the benefit of beings. From there, they were passed down, and later, when the Mantrayana was openly practiced and propagated, these Dharma cycles also became prevalent in the human realm. Therefore, the noble fathers and sons composed these treatises in ancient times and instructed that when disciples of these teachings appeared in the future, they should be propagated. Or, when the disciples' time had come, the Vidyadhara's body itself composed these treatises and taught them to the fortunate ones. In any case, there is no dispute that they were composed by the noble fathers and sons. By relying on this path, countless practitioners have attained supreme or common siddhis, ascended to high positions, and obtained special qualities arising from meditation. All the great chariots who cherished the Buddha's teachings utilized these teachings to establish the foundation of teaching and practice. Therefore, it is an undisputed and supreme Dharma gate. In general, in this region, there are about fifty texts said to be Indian treatises based on these teachings, including the Vajrasattva sadhana, which was composed under the name of Chandrakirti. 5-142 There are also many treatises and commentaries attributed to Aryadeva and Naga Bodhi. It is said that the commentary on the Uttaratantra was written by Naropa, but some say it was written by a Tibetan scholar. Although there are many well-spoken words in other treatises and commentaries, not all of them can be considered reliable. Among these,
