English version: May you grant your compassionate acceptance and protection. With utmost sincerity, I invite. Those who in past assemblies, before all the Buddhas, made great vows to the assembly. If there are those who receive, uphold, recite, respectfully venerate, and make offerings to the Sutra of the Fundamental Vows and Merits of the Seven Buddhas Tathagatas, we and our retinue will protect these individuals, enabling them to escape all difficulties and fulfilling all their wishes. Those who vowed to protect are: Kumbhira (Kumbhira, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Vajra (Vajra, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Mihira (Mihira, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Andira (Andira, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Anila (Anila, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Sandila (Sandila, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Indra (Indra, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Pajra (Pajra, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Mahura (Mahura, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Cindara (Cindara, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Caurira (Caurira, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) Vikala (Vikala, one of the twelve Yaksha generals) You great generals, should remember the virtuous vows you made in the past. Now, (name) and all sentient beings, seeking refuge, protection, and strength, sincerely invite you. May you descend, partake of the offered sandalwood incense, descend to this assembly, and grant your compassionate acceptance and protection. At this point, one should recite the invocation verse, thus inviting and visualizing all the sages, each coming from their own land, using their supernatural powers to travel through the air, arriving at the supremely wonderful palace, seating the Eight Tathagatas and placing the Dharma Jewel on jeweled lion lotus thrones. On the second level, place the positions of all the Bodhisattvas in the Introductory Section, or set up the positions of the attendant Bodhisattvas. In front, set up the positions of Manjusri Bodhisattva (Manjusri Bodhisattva), Deliverance Bodhisattva (Deliverance Bodhisattva), and Vajrapani Bodhisattva (Vajrapani Bodhisattva), awakening the past vows of all the honored ones, and performing deeds that benefit sentient beings. On the third level, on the left, set up the Twelve Yaksha Generals, and on the right, set up Mahabrahma (Mahabrahma) and Indra (Indra). At the four gates, set up the Four Heavenly Kings. To repay the original vows, one should also visualize all the offering implements, contemplating and visualizing as in the previous ritual. Next, using merit water and other things, universally perform prostrations and state the offerings: Homage to and reliance on, making offerings to all the Sugatas of the ten directions and three times, and all the great Bodhisattva assemblies. English version: I take refuge in and offer to the immeasurable assembly of Bodhisattvas, I take refuge in and offer to the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Golden Light Wonderful Conduct Accomplishment Buddha, and the immeasurable hundreds of thousands of millions of Bodhisattvas. I take refuge in and offer to the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Sorrowless Most Excellent Auspicious King Buddha, and the immeasurable assembly of Bodhisattvas. I take refuge in and offer to the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Dharma Ocean Thunder Sound Buddha, and the immeasurable assembly of Bodhisattvas. I take refuge in and offer to the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Dharma Ocean Supreme Wisdom Playful Supernormal Power Buddha, and the immeasurable assembly of Bodhisattvas. I take refuge in and offer to the Tathāgata Arhat Samyaksaṃbuddha Medicine Master Bhaisajyaguru Buddha, and Suryaprabha (Sunlight Shining Everywhere), Candraprabha (Moonlight Shining Everywhere), and the immeasurable assembly of Bodhisattvas. I take refuge in and offer to Mahabrahma, Indra, the Four Heavenly Kings, and the virtuous and wise protectors of the Dharma. I take refuge in and offer to Kumbhira, and the Twelve Yaksha Generals. Next, I offer: Before all the great sages, I now use this wonderful merit water, scented ointment, wonderful flowers, burning incense, bright lamps, superior food and drink, musical instruments and beautiful sounds, banners, canopies, and all kinds of offerings, as well as all kinds of ownerless, unpossessed, delightful and wonderful resources of humans and gods in the ten directions. Furthermore, with the divine power of the great Dharani, sincere faith, and vows, I bless and increase the cloud-like sea of offerings, just like that which arises from the vows of Samantabhadra, filling the void with the cloud-like sea of offerings. With these most supreme offering resources, I offer to all the great sages. I (N.), from beginningless birth and death, all the evil deeds I have committed, and all kinds of good and bad deeds that should or should not have been done, all such sins, I now sincerely repent. All the roots of goodness of the Buddhas of the three times and all sentient beings, I rejoice in them all. All the Tathagatas in the ten directions, I now request to turn the great Dharma wheel. All the lights of the world who wish to enter Nirvana, I now request not to enter Nirvana, but to remain in the world for a long time to benefit and bring joy to sentient beings.
