And, in controlling the breath, both the left and right nostrils should be tensed, or both nostrils should be tensed three times; when exhaling from the mouth, tense; when inhaling from the mouth, tense; when not breathing, tense three times, these nine times are called expelling cold. Sixth, the way decorative energies become countless: the decorative energies mentioned earlier that rely on the breath of expelling cold are only briefly explained. In those cases, depending on the strength of the sun and moon channels, the strength of the breath, the number of breaths in and out, and the differences in decorative combinations, they will be forcibly transformed into countless types. Seventh, in those cases, how to settle the mind: when practicing those forced energies, it is crucial to meditate on the ultimate meaning. What is that? It is the nature of one's own mind, free from the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding, the Great Seal of emptiness, free from the grasping of agent and object, abiding in that state, without modification, without moving from the state of primordial wisdom, possessing the three characteristics of immovability, thus settling equally, one's own mind is clear, one's own essence is emptiness, the non-conceptual Dharmakaya; Although there is no object to be grasped, the ears hear various unpleasant sounds, this is the Sambhogakaya with bells; from smoke, mirages to the body of the Tathagata, various forms, although their nature is emptiness, appear in the eye consciousness, this is the Nirmanakaya; although far from external tangibles, great bliss that cannot be expressed arises in body and mind, this is the Svabhavikakaya. It is said that this is the manifestation of the four Kayas. This is like butter emerging from churning milk, it is the essence of the path, therefore it should be combined and meditated on in all breath practices. Eighth, the benefits of understanding decorative energies: anyone who understands forced decorative energies, just like a soldier entering the battlefield with armor and weapons, riding a horse with a perfect saddle, going to a mountain pass to do business with various goods, is able to overcome obstacles, control the breath, bring Samadhi under control, and various experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality will arise in the continuum. Ninth, the faults of not understanding decorative energies: explained with one verse, in reverse to the previous one. Decorative energies based on Vajra recitation. Second, the continuous forced energy of Vajra recitation: Described with three verses and a quarter of a verse. Vajra recitation is continuous, if distinguished, it can be divided into expelling cold. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In pacifying the two energies of heat and cold, there are also two methods for pacifying cold: first, after diligently practicing the ten Vajra recitations, etc., as previously taught, decorations are applied; second, the breath is stiffened first, and then ten Vajra recitations are performed. In the center of the sun and moon, separated by three stiffening actions, there are six. There are also two methods for pacifying heat: one is to draw the breath from the three centers of the sun and moon into the body, and then exhale from Kakalingka, performing three recitations; the other is to draw the breath from Kalingka into the body, and then exhale from the three centers of the sun and moon, performing recitations. For these two methods, two recitations are performed first, followed by three stiffening actions, totaling six; or stiffening is done first, followed by six recitations. Thus, there are six for pacifying cold, and two for pacifying heat, each with six, totaling eighteen. Among these methods, countless forceful methods can arise due to differences in the channels and the strength of the breath's flow. Third, the method of meditation without adornment temporarily: During the above practice of breath control, one can also meditate on the breath without adornment, and the Vajra recitation can also be practiced intermittently without adornment, as before. This provides rest and increases calm abiding. Fourth, the adornment with supreme power: Whether pacifying heat or cold, one can first perform Vajra recitation, and then combine vase breathing and union, as well as Hūṃ(藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable)Phaṭ(藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:cut off)and other four methods. When these forceful methods are combined, they can generate the samādhi of appearance-emptiness, clarity-emptiness, and bliss-emptiness, whose power is far superior to other breath practices. If the order of these four breath practices and the method of forceful combination are taught, as well as the method of stiffening first and then combining these four breaths, then the breath practices will become eight. Fifth, the forceful methods combined with downward clearing: The breath of downward clearing has three forms: shooting like an arrow, bending like a bow, and rapid contraction. For these three forms, there are three stiffening actions combined with them. If the oral instructions of previously applying adornments are taught, it will become six. Sixth, how to practice all breaths: When adornments are added to the end of all breaths, the yogi will experience an extraordinary experience of bliss and emptiness. In this regard, one should carefully observe oneself to understand whether cold or heat dominates the body, whether dullness or agitation dominates the mind, whether the diet is mainly cool or hot, and factors such as the season and date. For seasons, times, and people dominated by heat, mainly practice cold breaths; similarly, for situations dominated by cold, mainly practice hot breath control, so that one can obtain supreme qualities. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
