Always prepare large tormas, and offer twenty-one small tormas each day. This is what should be done during practice. Homage to the compassionate Protector with Eyes! The vase should be wide-mouthed, with a complete spout, without breakage, without repairs, without dirt, clean, and free from flaws such as frost inside, without husks, beans, stones, or other impurities, and free from soil. Take it from the treasury of a rich person, or with unhusked white rice, either of which is acceptable, and fill the vase. Inside the vase, place gold, silver, pearls, coral, turquoise, old jade, copper, and as many jewels as can be found, such as Padma Rag, carnelian, conch shells, various kinds of fine silk fabrics that can be found, various kinds of fine foods that can be found, such as black tea, white tea, meat, butter, brown sugar, rock candy, raisins, and as many arura as can be found. If arura cannot be found, other fine golden items can be used, as well as white cardamom, red cardamom, camphor, agarwood, white sandalwood, red sandalwood, nutmeg, and so on. In the middle of the vase, slightly above the neck and center, place a tsakli (Tibetan: tsakli, a small statue or thangka) of the Protector with Eyes, consecrated according to the ritual, facing the mouth of the vase, submerged in the contents of the vase. The mouth of the vase should face oneself. Generate Avalokiteshvara four times a day, invite the wisdom being to descend, and pray intensely. Place small tormas inside the large torma.
