As I see it, there is no seeing consciousness, mind, or intellect. The Tathāgata (Thus Gone One) has shown that this is seeing the Dharma (the teachings). Beings often say they see space (Ākāśa), but how is space seen? This meaning should be carefully examined. Thus, the Tathāgata has also shown the principle of seeing the Dharma, but this metaphor of seeing is difficult to explain with other methods. If one can see in this way, then one can see all Dharmas. Like a king who governs from the center, with ministers each performing their duties. The deeds of the Buddhas and the teachings of the Śrāvakas (listeners) are all accomplished by Prajñāpāramitā (Perfection of Wisdom). Like a king who does not leave the capital, nor tour the countryside, yet can manage all affairs from the palace. Similarly, a Bodhisattva (Enlightenment Being) does not depart from Dharmatā (the nature of things), yet can perfect all the qualities of the Buddha-bhūmi (Buddha-land). The above is the first part. The second part discusses the benefits of understanding the basis of emptiness (Śūnyatā), divided into two aspects: the wisdom of understanding the basis of emptiness, which is Prajñāpāramitā; and the benefits of the arising of Prajñāpāramitā in the continuum. First is the first aspect, as stated in the sutra: 'A Bodhisattva does not cling to the past, future, or present phenomena, and is not bound by the three times within the three times. This is a non-fabricated, non-elaborate Dharma, which is the supreme practice of Prajñāpāramitā.' When a Bodhisattva is proficient, they contemplate the principle of non-arising and act accordingly. Although they generate great compassion (Mahākaruṇā), they have no attachment to beings. This is the supreme practice of Prajñāpāramitā.' 'Knowing oneself as such, one also knows all beings as such. Knowing all beings as such, one also knows all Dharmas as such. One does not generate discriminating thoughts about arising or non-arising. This is the supreme practice of Prajñāpāramitā.' 'I have no thought of entering Samādhi (meditative concentration) or emerging from it, nor do I have any pride. Why? Because I have सम्यग्ज्ञान (梵文天城体), samyagjñāna (梵文罗马拟音), perfect knowledge (汉语字面意思) of the nature of all Dharmas. Practicing in this way is practicing the wisdom of the Buddhas. Therefore, know that this is actionless action. One should not cling to the Dharma that is practiced. This is the supreme practice of Prajñāpāramitā.' And so on, as widely proclaimed in the sutras. Second, the benefits of the arising of Prajñāpāramitā in the continuum are divided into temporary benefits and ultimate benefits. First are the temporary benefits, of which there are five: 1. The benefit of being the forerunner of all Dharmas; 2. The benefit of not being found by the Maras (demons); 3. The benefit of being protected by the Tathāgatas; 4. The benefit of naturally possessing all the qualities of Abhyudaya (higher realms) and Niḥsaraṇa (liberation); 5. The benefit of overcoming all beings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter on Qualities. First, as it is said: 'Blind beings, countless billions, without an object. Not knowing the path, how can they enter the city? Without wisdom, like the blind, these five perfections, Without an object, cannot attain enlightenment. When wisdom is well grasped, Then one gains sight and obtains this name.' Thus it is said. Second, as it is said: 'As many sentient beings as the sands of the Ganges, Completely grasping them, regarding them as demons, even if from a single pore, emanate as many emanations, All of them cannot create obstacles for the wise. With four causes, Bodhisattvas possess the power of wisdom, Difficult for the four maras to overcome, and cannot be moved: abiding in emptiness, not abandoning the benefit of sentient beings, Acting as spoken, and possessing the blessings of the Sugata.' Thus it is said. Third, there are two: the merit of contemplating with the mind, and the merit of praising with speech. First, as it is said: 'A mother who becomes a widow in middle age, having many children, All of them displease her, and she must care for them in turn.' Similarly, the Buddhas of the ten directions, Also contemplate the sacred Prajna (wisdom) that is the mother of Buddhas.' Thus it is said. Second, as it is said: 'Those who are skilled in such practices, many gods Join their palms in reverence and also prostrate. As many Buddhas as there are in the realms of the ten directions, Also utter a continuous stream of praises of qualities.' Thus it is said. Fourth, this is the supreme Dharma treasure and the sacred Dharma store. It is the lineage of the Buddhas and the treasure of happiness and well-being for beings.' And, the sons of the Buddhas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, gods, And all the happiness and Dharma of all beings, all arise from the supreme Prajnaparamita (wisdom gone beyond).' Thus it is said. Fifth, as it is said: 'Like the sun free from clouds, with a network of rays, Destroying all thick darkness, appearing with light. Like fireflies, sparks, all living beings, And the multitude of stars and the light of the moon, all are suppressed by its light.' Similarly, the Bodhisattva's Prajnaparamita (wisdom gone beyond), the supreme practice, the practice of emptiness and signlessness, The wise one destroys the darkness of wrong views, surpassing all beings, And the light of Arhats, Pratyekabuddhas, and many Bodhisattvas.' Thus it is said. Second, the ultimate qualities are two: the quality of not falling into lower realms, and the quality of manifesting perfect enlightenment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
