8-21-23b 8-21-24a

The great Vajra Master residing here, the one who subdues the center of the assembly; the great lords of yoga who perceive all appearances as manifestations of deities, are placed at the head of the assembly; those who, without straying from the yoga of the two stages, are able to explain the meaning of the tantras without error, adorn the edges of the assembly; those Karma Vajras who, without straying from the conduct of secret mantra, accomplish various activities, support the end of the assembly. Thus, all the Vajra brothers and sisters who are visibly present, are unstained by the faults of the root and branches, and have deep connections, the sangha is flourishing. The history is long, and it is the great Vajradhara of the sixth lineage. With hundreds of yogas, he dwells pervading all things, his kindness is immense. If we consider the purpose and need, this gathering of vidyadharas, dwelling near the signs of pure conduct, offers this excellent and abundant feast of heroes in accordance with the tsok khorlo (assembly wheel). In general, it is for the flourishing and expansion of the vidyadhara's teachings, for attaining the supreme siddhi (accomplishment) of Mahamudra (great seal) in this very life, and for never being separated from the good conduct of secret mantra in all circumstances. The patron of the offering, the Vajra Master named so-and-so, is accomplishing this, therefore, please remember in your heart to dedicate the root of virtue arising from this to the state of Samantabhadra (all good), the lord of all lineages, the all-pervading Vajrasattva (diamond being). When making the dedication for the sake of the patron accumulating merit, one should first say this: 'The patron himself should keep this in mind in this way.' As it is said in the sutra: 'Accumulating merit brings happiness, therefore people should accumulate merit, they should accumulate it again and again, and generate desire for it.' Therefore, it is very important to accumulate merit during times of prosperity, and it is very important to transform that accumulation into a special object with desire. So, where should it be dedicated? It should be dedicated to perfect enlightenment. What should be done specifically? It should be dedicated for the benefit of all sentient beings. What is the purpose? It is for the purpose of making it inexhaustible. Where should it be dedicated? All the compounded roots of virtue accumulated in the three times by oneself and others are transformed by dedication. The form is that the giver, the receiver, and the object to be given are all grasped by the wisdom that realizes the three circles are not perceptible. 8-21-23b 8-21-24a --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dedicate the merit with the method of not abandoning appearances. Through such dedication, may one quickly attain the state of omniscience, the fruit of complete separation (from all obscurations). May the resultant fruit (vipāka-phala) and the dominant fruit (adhipati-phala) lead to rebirth in happy realms and higher realms. May the fruit similar to the cause (niṣyanda-phala) bring great enjoyment in this life and future lives. May the attainment of such fruits be due to the blessings of the Three Jewels, the power of the pure and inconceivable dharmadhātu, and the great power of the complete accumulation of the two accumulations. Think in this way and create the conducive conditions for dedication before the Three Jewels. May all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the ten directions be mindful of me and the benefactor. Taking the accumulation of merit accomplished by the benefactor as a representation, through the power and strength of all the virtuous roots associated with the three times—the merit of the benefactor's own practice, what they have caused others to do, and what they have rejoiced in others doing—may the benefactor quickly attain the precious state of perfect and complete enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings as vast as space. May the two obscurations, along with their latent tendencies, be easily purified.' Recite this three times. Furthermore, may the benefactor, in all births and lifetimes, be born in the happy realms and higher realms. May they be adorned with the seven noble riches. May they never be separated from seeing and being with the pure refuge, the ocean-like Buddhas. May they never be separated from practicing the pure path, the ocean-like holy Dharma. May they never be separated from serving and honoring the pure companions, the ocean-like noble Sangha. May they never be separated from the pure view, the Madhyamaka view. May they never be separated from the pure conduct, the six pāramitās. May they never be separated from the pure meditation, the practice of śamatha and vipaśyanā combined. May they quickly attain the pure fruit, the state of the Buddha, the Bhagavan, the king of Dharma in the three realms. May their pure activity be able to effortlessly and continuously fulfill the wishes of all sentient beings according to the Dharma. In this very life, may all adverse conditions and obstacles be pacified. May all favorable conditions, life, and merit increase and expand from higher to higher. May all thoughts and wishes be fulfilled as desired. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
