May all be perfectly complete! And, may the aggregate of discipline be perfectly complete! Etc., apply according to the specific situation. If reciting a brief dedication for someone who has passed away long ago, then say: Please listen! Through the power of the merit accumulated by this practice, may the deceased, named so-and-so, not experience the suffering of the lower realms, etc. May it be in all cycles of existence... etc. May it be in the auspicious and joyful mandala of the Buddhas... etc. May the precious Bodhicitta arise in their hearts... etc., recite pure aspiration prayers. If offering to special objects such as lamas and spiritual friends, then say: May all the Sangha of the ten directions, together with us, the patrons of generosity, listen! May the merit accumulated by the patrons of generosity through this practice, as well as the body, resources, and virtuous things of the three times—past, present, and future—all inner and outer secret offerings, and whatever clouds of offerings of suchness there may be, and whatever objects of offering in the boundless realms of the ten directions that have not been possessed by the patrons, all these we offer to the Dharma King, the lama, the spiritual friend, the Dharma-protecting king, etc. Through the power of this offering, may immeasurable and boundless increase arise in all the directions where they reside, like the clouds of offerings of Samantabhadra. May all worldly and transmundane wishes be spontaneously fulfilled. May the great conduct of the Bodhisattvas be perfected. At that time, may all obstacles to body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities be pacified. May the qualities of compassion, abandonment, and realization increase more and more. May all the obscurations and habitual tendencies they possess in their minds be purified. May they attain the state of Dharma King, the Buddha, the Bhagavan. May they manifest countless emanations to benefit limitless sentient beings. May they easily and quickly enter the spontaneously accomplished, uninterrupted vision of wisdom. Through the power of these, may we, in all lifetimes, not be influenced even for a moment by evil friends and sinful companions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May all be well! May we meet the virtuous spiritual friends who teach the profound and vast holy Dharma! May we have the fortune to receive all the teachings and instructions from them! May all things be pleasing in all times and places, and may we never encounter anything unpleasant! May all obstacles to the path be completely pacified in all lives and lifetimes until enlightenment is attained! May we be delighted to practice the holy Dharma in all lives and existences, and may we have the fortune to practice the holy Dharma! May we never be separated from the two Bodhicittas, the relative and the ultimate! Thus, recite three times. What is dedicated here are the virtues created by oneself. Where it is dedicated is to temporary higher rebirth and ultimate definite goodness. Among them, although there are three types of Bodhi, the perfect Bodhi is the most supreme. What is done is for the benefit of all sentient beings. What is needed is for the sake of inexhaustibility. How to dedicate is through the wisdom of not clinging to the three wheels, and the means of not abandoning appearances. The nature of dedication is the desire and corresponding thoughts that one's own virtues will be transformed into a special object. The dedicator is oneself, who accumulates virtuous roots. If one does not know how to dedicate, one can ask a Khenpo (abbot) or other to dedicate on one's behalf, and one's own mind should follow their words. If many who uphold morality make a joint dedication, it is easier to accomplish, as it is said: 'The wishes of those who uphold morality are easily accomplished'. The place is in the presence of the Buddha and Bodhisattvas, whom one imagines to be dwelling there. Like 'The gathering tree, the established place, the drops of nectar, never exhaust. Even small virtues carefully done, can be made inexhaustible and increase through dedication'. This was composed by the glorious Shakya Chokden Drime Lekpai Lodro (释迦胜贤无垢善慧) in the central region of U-Tsang (卫藏). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
