Homage to you! You possess unparalleled innate and acquired wisdom. The fifth great quality is the perfection of power: This lord, from the time of the Hor (Mongols), had authority over the imperial decrees and the decisions of the great monasteries. The officials of the Sonvis enthroned him in the Lhakhang Labrang as the successor to the throne of the Dharma King Phagpa Rinpoche. From then on, he was the choice of the kings, royal families, great men, great spiritual friends, and patrons of the three regions of China, Tibet, and Mongolia, and was revered as an object of offering. In particular, the current emperor, the ruler of the Ming Dynasty, the great Dharma King, took his feet upon his head and bestowed upon him many titles such as 'Mahayana Dharma King', enthroning him as the great representative of Thubpa (Shakyamuni). He offered him a golden wheel with a thousand spokes and requested him to widely turn the wheel of Dharma in Jambudvipa. Furthermore, almost all of the well-known scholars, accomplished ones, and great upholders of the teachings of both China and Tibet were unable to debate with him on the Dharma and became disciples connected to him by Dharma and vows. In short, on earth and under the sky, he is unparalleled and rules over all. All the great officials accept his orders as they are, he became the ornament on the heads of scholars and accomplished ones, and on this earth, he has no equal. Homage to you! You possess the perfection of power. The sixth great quality is the perfection of being free from illness: This lord, through the power of completing deeds in previous lives, his body was not afflicted by any kind of disease, and his movements were comfortable and free from all illnesses. Through the power of cultivating patience in all lifetimes, you are not afflicted by epidemics, diseases, or the harm of the four elements. I pay special homage to you, the one free from illness! The seventh great quality is the perfection of longevity: In this age of one hundred years, just as the Thus-Gone One (Tathagata) lived to eighty years, this great being also lived to seventy-seven years. According to the Lord, on the Zamtser bridge of Shangpu, countless rainbow lights surrounded it, and many women said they were going to Sukhavati (the Pure Land of Amitabha), and many miracles occurred. At that time, I prayed and received the prophecy that 'You will live to eighty years,' so I have lived until now. Now there is no need to stay for a long time. When he went above, the king... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A critic said, 'You belong to the turtle family, so they say you can live to eighty. If he had died last year, he would have been ashamed.' At the time of his passing, he said, 'I was thinking of staying for another year or so, but due to some circumstances, I am leaving this year. Whether you perform rituals or not is up to you, doing them is also fine. Our lifespan, learning, contemplation, meditation, and activities are all complete, so do not have any sadness or worry.' After saying this, on top of eighty years, he extended his life by three years through his spiritual power, living to seventy-seven. Among the successive lineages of the Sakya school, there has been no one more long-lived than this master. In short, with noble lineage, dignified appearance, complete wealth, extraordinary wisdom, powerful authority, absence of illness, and complete lifespan, like this, with seven great qualities, he is the most exalted and exceptionally superior among the beings of the world, including the gods. II. The Hearer Vehicle and Common Liberation The second general meaning, regarding the qualities of greatness common to the Hearer Vehicle, is divided into three aspects: how to abide in the fundamental discipline, how to train in reading, hearing, thinking, and how to train in the meditation of abandonment. First, regarding how to abide in the fundamental discipline, there are three ways: taking the vows of a lay devotee, a novice monk, and a fully ordained monk. They are in order: In his youth, he took the vows of a celibate lay devotee. At the age of fifteen, on the tenth day of the seventh month of the Dragon year, Kunga Rinchen Pal (Kun dga' rin chen dpal, meaning 'All Joyful Jewel Glory'), the abbot of the Great Wen Si Thogpa, served as the Khenpo (preceptor), Khedrup Rinchen Dorje (Mkhas grub rin chen rdo rje, meaning 'Wise Accomplished Jewel Vajra') served as the Acharya (teacher), and in the midst of many faithful monks, he renounced the world and was given the name Kunga Tashi Gyaltsen Palsangpo (Kun dga' bkra shis rgyal mtshan dpal bzang po, meaning 'All Joyful Auspicious Banner Glorious Excellent'), adorned with the vows of a novice monk. At the age of twenty-four, Chöje Lama Dampa (Chos rje bla ma dam pa, meaning 'Lord of Dharma, Holy Lama') served as the Khenpo, Paṇḍita Mati served as the Karma Acharya (action teacher), Lotsāwa Jangchub Tsemö (Lo tsā ba byang chub rtse mo, meaning 'Translator Bodhi Peak') served as the Guhyapati Acharya (secret teacher), and in the midst of twenty faithful monks, with many wondrous signs, he took the vows of a celibate fully ordained monk, perfectly complete. You entered the gate of the Dharma, taking the vows of a lay devotee, a novice monk, and a fully ordained monk. With the discipline of individual liberation, you perfected celibacy. I prostrate to you. Second, regarding how to study reading, hearing, and thinking --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
