Having thus completed the explanation of the essence of the tantra, now, in order to explain the nature and mudra of the glorious Vajrasattva, and the power and nature of this awareness, the praise spoken by Vajrasattva himself, and to show that what Vajrasattva said is praised by all the Tathagatas, it is said: "By the assembly of all Buddhas, always endowed with immeasurable life." Thus and so on. Among them, how is Vajrasattva the nature of the assembly of all Buddhas? Just as one does not constantly enter nirvana, this mudra tantra of Vajrasattva also has no time of disappearance, this is the meaning of "endowed with immeasurable life." Like the endless boundary of the sky realm, true words are well spoken. Likewise, how does Vajrasattva pervade all the endless boundaries of the sky realm, and teach the Dharma with various true words, similarly, this mudra tantra also pervades everything, this is its meaning. Boundless and infinite, all awareness and this, the power and merit of praise, cannot be exhausted in words. Thus it is said, the merits of all boundless and infinite tantras are the same as this tantra, the praise of the power and merit of these cannot be exhausted. Therefore, the two kinds of merits mentioned above, that is, existing without the limit of time, and existing without the limit of space, are only briefly explained, this is its meaning. Why can such merits be achieved? It is achieved by power and nature, it is constantly achieved by the nature of the essence, and the respective accompanying achievements give happiness. Thus it is said. Among them, power is the difference of ability, that is, action. Nature is Dharma. The nature of the essence is the attainment of self-nature, for example, the power of fire is the difference of being able to burn, nature is the Dharma of having heat, the nature of the essence is the attainment of such self-nature of the great element's subtle particles, becoming the object of the root consciousness, burning and heat are also not different from the nature of the essence. To this, it is said: fire burns, by what does it burn? The opponent says: it burns by power.

Thus it is. By its own nature, it ripens. By its very essence, it ripens. It is like saying, "Its own nature makes it ripen." What is called 'subsequent accomplishment of each' is like fire making rice ripen, and others also subsequently accomplish ripening, like that. This is called the supreme of secrets. Such a thought is not the sphere of activity for everyone. This is also combined with the instruction on the secret of means. Now, the nature of the tantra and the teacher is shown. In general, the deeds of all the Buddhas and the seals of their speech, the tantras and kalpas, are: for the sake of accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings, purifying all karmic obscurations, purifying all defilements of afflictions and ignorance; and to show and clarify in the same way the obstacles that obstruct definitive emergence from whatever path; subduing the four maras; making the mind stable and expansive by degrees; for unstable individuals, to be completely taken hold of by a virtuous friend and closely instructed with advice; those who previously were not of one's own religion, through the means arising from a holy virtuous friend, making them attain unsurpassed enlightenment. However, in this tantra, all those things are not done in that way. Because glorious Vajrasattva is enlightened from the very beginning, reaching the limit of the furthest end, the limit of the expanse of space, the nature of all that is stable and moving is without the possibility of being extracted, not something to be traversed and purified. There are no maras and no obstacles, there is no means to be shown, and there is no fruit to be obtained. Therefore, for the sake of showing that: For the sake of sentient beings, purifying actions, the Victorious Ones do not completely purify. In this, there are no obstacles, and there are no maras. It does not change with thought, and it does not expand. I do not become unstable or a mara. I do not instruct in order to make it stable. Whoever accomplishes happiness with his own happiness, I am stabilized by the supreme accomplishment. In all sorts of ways, he spoke thus. Thus it was said. Therefore, the activity of the Buddhas is for the sake of sentient beings, showing all the activities of enlightenment, and becoming an obstacle to the perfection of happy migrations, all the karmic obscurations.
