Even when cutting off (afflictions), cut off in this way. Even at the time of attaining Buddhahood, it is believed that the Dharmadhatu is completely pure and is the nature of the complete pacification of all elaborations. Now, let me briefly discuss the well-known views from the tantric scriptures: From the ultimate point of view, it is believed that there is no birth or cessation, which is in accordance with the Madhyamaka school. From the conventional point of view, it is also in accordance with the view that the aggregates, elements, and sense bases are merely illusions. Specifically, it is distinguished by viewing those characteristics of illusion as the characteristics of completely pure deities, and by viewing the two truths as inseparable. Furthermore, there are many distinctions such as being the object of practice for those with sharp faculties, being the object of skillful means, and being the object of practice based on great compassion. But in short, it is believed that by pleasing the vidya-mantras and secret mantras that encompass and gather all of these, all the purposes of oneself and others will be completely accomplished. The internal distinctions are that viewing the deity in the manner of the Action Tantra is also known as viewing the deity through the purity of Dharmata. This is also accomplished through viewing the two truths as inseparable. If Dharmata is Buddha, then Dharmata-possessing cannot be non-Buddha, because the nature of Dharmata-possessing is Dharmata. Dharmata-possessing and Dharmata are Buddha, realizing that self and Buddha are inseparable, and the wisdom and samadhi that do not abide in anything and do not grasp anything are definitely the path to Buddhahood, as is also stated in the Sutras of Meaning. For example, in the Ornamented Tree Sutra, it says: 'Whoever abides, self and all Buddhas, equally in nature, not abiding, without grasping, those will become Sugatas. Form, feeling, perception, consciousness, and mental formations, countless Tathagatas, those will become great heroes.' It is like that. Therefore, by meditating and relying on the nature of the completely pure deity, that itself will be accomplished, and one will be able to benefit oneself and others. In general, the conduct of a Buddhist person, the Hinayana practitioner learns from the previous noble Arhats. The Mahayana Paramita practitioner learns from the great Bodhisattvas.

One should emulate the Bodhisattvas who abide in the (Bodhi) position. In the manner of secret mantras, one emulates the Buddhas, and not like the lower vehicles, emulating different natures, but emulating the Buddhas. Regarding this, "the Kriya purification views the Dharmata as the deity," and the Yoga, upon that, with the blessing of the great wisdom of Vajrasattva not abiding, pervades all, and is the deity of blessing, and the Mahayoga, upon both of those, views as the spontaneously accomplished image mandala, and the Atiyoga views as being free from all effort and acceptance and rejection. Although these are consistent in arising from the basis of viewing the two truths as inseparable, from beginningless time, due to the power of clinging to the conceptualization of a real self, it is determined by view, but at the time of practicing conduct, due to the power of reversing or not reversing semen, it is merely shown as separate doors corresponding to that. Thus, in the Kriya Tantra, the cause of obtaining the best, intermediate, and lowest attainments is also, the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds of asceticism based on pure conduct, the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds arising from the ripening of previously accumulated meritorious deeds, the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds of mind abiding equally, and the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds of faith, from which it is taught that the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds of attainments arise. In the Yoga Tantra, although asceticism based on pure conduct is indispensable, it is taught that the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds of attainments arise from the remaining best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds. In the manner of Mahayoga, although both asceticism and fortune are absent, it is taught that three kinds of attainments arise from the remaining two, the best, intermediate, and lowest three kinds. Therefore, these differences in view and conduct are also taught according to the capacity of the clinging to a real self, and it should be known that in the characteristics of phenomena, there is no self-nature that is established separately. Similarly, the differences in view and conduct of the Sutra Vehicle are merely taught according to capacity, and it should not be thought that in the characteristics of phenomena, it is necessary to practice separately a self-established cause, a self-established condition, and a self-established result. Thus, in the Prajnaparamita, it says that form is not empty by nature.
