As previously stated, the various dharmas do not change their own nature, nor are they bound by the play of characteristics. It is not about eliminating and abandoning characteristics, but rather the very nature of characteristics is such, therefore it is called the Bindu of Dharmata. It becomes the abode of all Buddha dharmas, therefore it is the Bindu of Dharmadhatu. It is primordially pure from all defilements, therefore it is the Bindu of Completely Pure Dharmadhatu. It is naturally luminous, with self-arisen primordial wisdom, therefore it is the Bindu of Great Wisdom. It does not obstruct the playful adornment of Samantabhadra, therefore it is the Bindu of Samantabhadra. Such a meaning does not depend on starting to practice now, but is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning, therefore it is the Bindu of Spontaneous Abiding. Among these, the first two are not defiled by the delusion of sentient beings, the middle three are not altered by the methods of antidotes, and the last is beyond effort and repeatedly contemplated. These greatnesses and bindus also reveal the nature of Bodhicitta, the greatness of Bodhicitta, and the faults of Bodhicitta, and the method of abiding in Bodhicitta is also free from effort and decisive. Now, starting from here, with the meaning of nomenclature, severing the intellect, the method of spontaneous abiding without effort is shown. Among these, the faults and obscurations are severed by thirty faults and obscurations. Generally speaking, there are thirty in name, ten in substance, and two in root. Among these, the two roots are faults and obscurations. Obscurations are those that obscure the Great Bodhi, just like not striving to accomplish it. What are these? They are worldly people, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas. Faults are divided into two types: common and special. Among these, the common one is deviating from the yoga of the inner mind, just like the Sutra Pitaka, Kriya, and Ubhaya. The special fault is that even within one yoga, it is divided into four yogas, just like being divided into Yoga, Maha Yoga, Anu Yoga, and Ati Yoga. These lower ones become the faults of the higher ones. Therefore, there are ten in substance. There are thirty in name, and each of the four yogas has a common

The deviations and obscurations are six each, six times four equals twenty-four. The specific deviations are one, two, and three, adding six, making a total of thirty. For these, worldly people need not be mentioned. The view and meditation of the Hearers abide in the meaning of the Four Noble Truths, the root of discipline lies in the four defeats, etc., abiding in the Pratimoksha vows, although they must be liberated from the three realms, they deviate from the general yoga because they lack the yoga of Suchness, and they deviate from the Great Perfection because they are afflicted by the disease of effort. This is also said to eventually become Buddha, so it is a deviation, and it is an obscuration because it does not generate the mind of great Bodhi. In general, all deviations are also obscurations. The view and meditation of the Solitary Buddhas abide in the principle of dependent origination, and the basis of discipline is the same as that of the Hearers, so is liberation from the three realms. Abiding in the way of the Sutra Perfection of Wisdom, having generated the mind of great Bodhi, view, meditation, and discipline all practice the six and ten perfections. Specifically, the view abides in the principle of the two truths, the basis of discipline relies on the Pratimoksha vows, abiding in the uncommon discipline of the four defeats, and the Bodhisattva vows that include transgressions, relying on the Three Jewels and sentient beings to achieve Bodhi, mainly achieving Bodhi by practicing actions that benefit sentient beings with great compassion, but because they lack the yoga of Suchness, they deviate from the entire yoga, and because they manifest effort, they deviate from the Great Perfection. The way of Secret Mantra, in general, also relies on the Three Jewels and sentient beings to achieve Bodhi, mainly practicing to please Vidyas and Secret Mantras, and benefiting sentient beings is a secondary action. Among them, the view and meditation of Kriya abide in the three of Bodhicitta and Suchness, completely pleasing Vidyas and Secret Mantras, the basis of discipline relies on the Pratimoksha vows and the basis of the Bodhisattva vows, abiding in the five training precepts, abandoning the four root downfalls that should be abandoned, abiding in the thirteen root vows that should be upheld and many branch vows, thereby achieving Bodhi.
