There is no Dharma to be attained manifestly, because it has been shown that one becomes enlightened only in the very moment of manifestation. This overwhelms those inferior views and becomes their antidote, and because it destroys the mind of acceptance and rejection, it is called great. The rest should be applied in the same way. Therefore, having complete mastery over everything is the king of knowledge, being autonomous, the essence of bodhichitta does not depend on others. The remaining three are easy to understand. These five greatnesses also show one meaning of great perfection with five aspects, namely: first is the vow, the next two are its characteristics, the fourth is its reason, and the fifth is the repetition of them. That is, like this, manifestly becoming enlightened, what is the characteristic of how one becomes enlightened? Everything is the nature of the essence of bodhichitta, without depending on others, it is self-arisen wisdom, and that wisdom itself also transcends all characteristics, it is the characteristic of being separated from all expressions. Why is that? Because its nature is like that. Like this, explaining enlightenment, it is not to abide in some faultless quality, or to abide in such a characteristic, but to be completely and from all aspects enlightened, or even to be separated from the mere term of being called unenlightened, because it transcends the realm of all manifesting efforts, it is the repetition of being effortless. This will show such a meaning. So, what are the six great bindus? The bindu of dharmata, the bindu of space, the bindu of completely pure space, the bindu of great wisdom, the bindu of Samantabhadra, and the bindu of spontaneous existence. Among these, dharmata is unchanging, and bindu means being free from elaboration. For example, the dharmata of a mirage is not only empty of water, but even empty of greenness and movement. Even if the mirage appears to arise or cease, emptiness itself has no other change of characteristics, nor is it seized by the elaboration of things. Likewise, the dharmata of all dharmas, as explained earlier in the chapter on pith instructions, from emptiness and selflessness to non-duality.
