Sa. Even the Bodhi established based on this is not established. Just as saying that the nature of space is space itself. If one thinks that there is no difference between mind and Bodhi, then it is called inseparable oneness. The Great Perfection also teaches these two principles. Among them, when explaining the greatness of Bodhicitta, it is also explained starting from the principle of numerical oneness. When explaining the nature of Bodhicitta, it is taught as inseparable oneness. This is a brief explanation of the root of the meaning, and all the explanations from the subsequent Great Perfection treatises cannot go beyond this. Now, let's briefly talk about the general principles of establishing and refuting oneness and otherness in this context. Among them, those who want to establish their own tenets and refute the tenets of others, all their respective paths are included in the two: establishing things and refuting things. Among them, all refutations are included in the two: non-affirming negation and affirming negation. What is called non-affirming negation is merely negating existence, and there is no need to establish other meanings. For example, it only eliminates misunderstanding, wrong understanding, and doubt, and only prevents universal discrimination, without showing other meanings. For example, if you say there is no pot, it only reverses the idea that there is a pot, and does not show the place where there is no pot, etc. Similarly, if you say there is no person, it only reverses the idea that there is a person, and does not show the aggregates that are empty of a person. Similarly, apply it to everything. What is affirming negation? It is negating one thing and showing another. For example, if you say there is no pot, just as you understand the place empty of a pot, if you say there is no person, it is like showing the aggregates empty of a person. Therefore, non-affirming negation only eliminates the tenets of others, while affirming negation is not enough with just that, it also establishes one's own tenets. Real thing

All practices are summarized into two ways: the practice of establishing existence as it is, and the practice of focusing. The basis of these is also twofold: oneness and otherness. The basis of these is also twofold: self-nature and difference. The mind for that is also twofold: the mind that grasps as a whole and the mind that analyzes subsequently. Although these two minds are inherently present, in debate, when debaters and counter-debaters argue, they say this: 'One's own tenet is enveloped by the mind that grasps as a whole, and is not divided by your tenet. Your tenet is destroyed by the mind that analyzes subsequently, so it cannot be established.' This is not admitted. Therefore, the basis of establishing all things is self-nature and difference. If this is not understood, then the establishment of all things cannot be understood. Therefore, this is explained first. So, what is self-nature? In whatever mind, when whatever thing appears, not distinguished by number, not distinguished by size, whatever thing appears itself, appears as something that can be made into a characteristic. What represents it is name, like the sound called 'Nāma' (藏文:ནཱ་མ་,梵文天城体:नाम,梵文罗马拟音:nāma,汉语字面意思:Name). Leading) means to lead, so it is name. Whatever mind leads and connects to the self-nature of a thing, is called name. For example, like a pillar and a pot, it can be connected to a smaller self-nature, or it can be connected to a larger self-nature like conditioned and unconditioned. In short, whatever thing is led by name, that is called self-nature. Characteristic) means cause, characteristic, or sign. Therefore, whatever conceptual mind mixes name and the named, clings to them as one, and makes them the characteristic and sign of a thing, is called reason. The excellent marks of the Buddha are also called 'Lakṣaṇa' (藏文:ལ་ཀྵ་ན་,梵文天城体:लक्षण,梵文罗马拟音:lakṣaṇa,汉语字面意思:Characteristic), that is, made into a characteristic or sign. These names and reasons do not correspond to the self-nature of things as the Sound School proponents believe. Self-nature is separate from name and reason. So, what is the difference of a thing? Relying on self-nature, whatever particularity distinguishes that self-nature, thereby making it a difference, is called difference. That is it.
