The characteristics of grasping and the grasper are not abandoned either. Such a situation is that sentient beings in the uninterrupted hell are the nature of the ultimate in suffering, and the Buddha, the Bhagavan, is the nature of the ultimate in bliss. If it is said that both are empty of the nature of self and what belongs to self, even if no difference is observed in emptiness, if it is not established that the essence is empty, the hell will not turn into a Buddha by merely being empty of self and what belongs to self. The Buddha will not turn into hell either. The characteristics of bliss and suffering will not be abandoned either. For example, when saying one hundred, two hundred, one thousand, two thousand, although hundreds and thousands themselves are many, there is no difference between one hundred and two hundred, etc. Just as when saying one hundred, the term one is used. So, what is the one in number? For example, it is said to be like a rhinoceros. The wild animal rhinoceros does not have two horns growing together. Just as there is only one sword, it is said to be one rhinoceros horn. Like this, are person and aggregates both non-existent, and aggregates existent? Or, for the self-arisen ones, is the grasped non-existent and the grasper existent? Similarly, both are non-existent, and self-awareness is existent, etc. Like this, eliminating pervasive imputation and establishing that the entity is existent, and also for that entity itself, considering the dharma and the possessor of dharma to be one in essence, and also considering the dharmas to be one in essence with each other, negating difference, and establishing one thing, therefore saying this: two are non-existent, one is existent, thus not abandoning the thought of one thing, this is called the one in number. So, the one without distinction is, for example, when saying that the nature of space is space itself. For a moment, in the realm of convention, although in the realm of convention, space and the nature of space are established as dharma and possessor of dharma, the word space is also a synonym for emptiness, and the nature of space being space itself is also a synonym for emptiness. For this, no meaning of establishing as two is found. Similarly, for the mind of enlightenment, when blocking the mind and establishing enlightenment, at that time it becomes called the one in number. When the mind, the subject of dharma, is not established
