It abides in the nature that is devoid of the aspect of consciousness. A slight difference is that, in the state of sentient beings, it is obscured by sudden habitual tendencies and is experienced unclearly; in the state of noble ones, it is experienced clearly, so it is said. In conclusion, everything is endowed with suchness, which is empty of the two aspects of non-conceptual wisdom. Ultimately, it exists as a substance, so it is said. In this regard, according to the Madhyamaka view, those who, like the Yogacharas, view things as existing and being in the ultimate nature, are completely fabricated and utterly non-existent, and thus are refuted as non-existent. The Madhyamikas do not establish the ultimate that needs to be refuted as not being and needs to be established. Conventional reality is like an illusion, and the true conventional reality arises from causes and conditions and is capable of performing functions. It is pleasing when not examined, but unbearable when examined with a collection of reasons. This emptiness of self-nature is established as existing and being as it appears, and it does not contradict direct perception or non-apprehension, so it is said. According to the Tantric view, what is not established as real in the ultimate sense is merely the appearance of deluded knowledge in the conventional sense. To grasp as the nature of existing and being as it appears is completely fabricated and utterly non-existent. Because it is the appearance of deluded knowledge, it cannot be grasped as the nature according to the appearance. For example, in a dream, it appears to arise from causes and conditions, such as plowing a field resulting in a harvest, drinking poison resulting in illness, and taking medicine resulting in recovery, all of which appear to arise from causes and conditions. Appearing to perform actions is also the same. Furthermore, the form of a pot in a dream appears to be able to perform the function of holding water, while the reflection of a pot appears to be unable to perform the function of holding water. Thus, even in the state of a dream, such appearances do not need to be established, and there is not even a slight difference in nature. Similarly, the differences between internal and external objects appearing to arise from causes and conditions, and appearing to be able to perform functions and not being able to perform functions, are merely appearances. From learned scholars to foolish cowherds, everyone experiences a consistent appearance in their use of the allocation of karma, and

Therefore, it is not necessary to prove that things that appear similar in terms of pure and impure appearances manifest, because they are the basis for establishing various characteristics. The so-called characteristic is to prove it as it appears, and there is not even a tiny particle. Therefore, all that is established as the characteristic of a thing itself, in the end, there is nothing that is not a characteristic of the completely imputed. Therefore, for knowable things, the self-nature that is empty of complete imputation, there is nothing that can be shown by negation to be existent and is, and that can remain as a basis. Mere appearances, even those established as characteristics, do not appear to those who use different things in the arrangement of karma. Even those established as completely imputed appear to slightly dull concepts. These are said to be true conventional truths, arising from causes and conditions, and having the characteristic of being able to function. These are the characteristics of complete imputation. Regarding this, in the tantric tradition, some of what the previous wise ones said will be discussed. Among them, from the Madhyamaka point of view, these internal and external things, because they arise interdependently, there is no arising in the ultimate truth. In the conventional truth, they arise and cease from the power of causes and conditions, and are impermanent and changing dharmas. From this point of view, they say: These are all the laws of interdependent arising, and are the changes of arising and ceasing. Just like the seed of a word, nothing comes from nothing, there is no cause and effect. And so on. So, what is the characteristic of this appearance as cause and effect? The mind itself that clings to things and thinks of them as cause and effect appears as cause and condition. And so on, they widely proclaimed. Therefore, in the tantric tradition, all dharmas are merely completely imputed. Whatever is completely imputed is also merely completely imputed. What is the nature of all completely imputed things? It is the characteristic of complete imputation, while the characteristic of perfect accomplishment is completely non-existent. This complete imputation itself is also the characteristic of knowable dharmas. It is also the path. It is also the result. Therefore, the yogi who abides in the tantric tradition understands by relying on the wisdom of complete imputation.
