It is unified. Because the objects of consciousness are not recognized as the appearance of mind, one clings to other things. Due to the accumulation of various karmic imprints in the mind through various actions, the mind becomes deluded and appears as things and sentient beings. Due to its influence, the mind arises with the thought of self and other and distinguishes between them. Due to the influence of these two, the objects of consciousness rely on appearing as mind and senses, and based on appearing as objects, one clings to and appears as various things. Due to the mind arising with the thought of self, the objects of consciousness give rise to something similar to the view of the aggregates, thereby blessing all contaminated mind and mental factors. Due to its influence, the thought of various selves and various dharmas arises, so the wheel of samsara does not stop. If one wants to be liberated from these illusions, one must recognize that all appearances are the appearance of mind itself, pull out the stake of self-grasping, and eliminate the clinging to things and characteristics. Even if the appearance does not change, if the thought of regarding the mind as self and the object as a characteristic changes in the mind, then the power of the karma of bad destinies will also weaken. Virtuous deeds will also be grasped by non-discriminating wisdom. For example, in a dream, when the dream appears, if one wakes up slightly and realizes that one is dreaming, even if the appearance does not change, but because the clinging disappears, one cannot generate attachment and aversion. Afterwards, if one wakes up, the appearance itself will also disappear, let alone generate attachment and aversion. Similarly, if one is free from the clinging to the characteristics of things, and through the power of wisdom and samadhi, the appearance itself also disappears, then how can afflictions and karma manifest? Therefore, for the nature of all dharmas, it is only the difference between knowing and not knowing, and apart from that, it is only the establishment of the names of samsara and liberation. There is nothing here that needs to be removed or retained, however, in the time of ignorance, it is merely appearing as the way of illusion. When equally showing all dharmas as illusion, this is the second part showing debate and answer. Thus, understanding the nature of all dharmas as illusion.
