It is said that he used various verses such as "Sa bzang tsam" as jokes. As such, this great Pandit, who was not ignorant of all knowledge, composed a great number of treatises with the sole intention of benefiting others, from sutras and tantras to various sciences, and even worldly matters such as farming, animal husbandry, and how to make cheese. Some early historical accounts say that there were about sixty volumes, and some say there were even more than that. It is also said that most of the secret instructions of mantras were invited away by the dakinis. Because he possessed unobstructed clairvoyance, knowing the minds and times of those to be tamed, and wrote solely for the purpose of benefiting beings with great compassion, whatever he composed would benefit those to be tamed. It is said that even if disciples who practiced the mantras he composed did not receive the transmission, they would still experience signs of blessings by practicing according to the words. After his death, some people prayed to him, and he even appeared in person to resolve doubts about the instructions. It is said that his teachings have extraordinary blessings and benefits. There was nothing he did not know when asked to compose any treatise. When writing, he did not need to consult scriptures at all, and he composed effortlessly. Moreover, in the treatises he composed in this way, not even a single word or phrase of the scriptures was missed. The words were beautiful, the meaning was profound, they were logical, the writing was fluent, and in terms of both words and meaning, they were in accordance with the Dharma, and there was no basis for criticism. The treatises he composed clearly explained the key to understanding thoroughly, and were purely perfect treatises. Therefore, all wise people gladly accepted them, considering them to be in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha. He relied on many Indian masters such as the Indian Abbot Manjushri Varma, Manjushri Jnana, Ubhaya Shri Mitra, Buddha Kara Bhadra, Deva Kara Chandra, Parameshvara, and Ashoka Vajra, and served as their translator, translating works such as the Vajrabhairava, the Three Continuations, the Yamari Krishna Shatru Tantra, the Manjushri Guhyasamaja, the Chakrasamvara Root Tantra, and the Mantra Meaning Vajra Arising.

etc., translated many sutras and treatises. Because the translation was very good, it was considered the best among the new translations. The Indian panditas all said: Dharma Bhadra, you have composed many Dharmas, protect the beings. Let alone your other merits. Even without understanding one-third of the system of sound, seeing us composing Dharma in India, why don't you compose it? Once, when he was young, when he heard the Dharma of the early translation from a person named Doton Senge, he dreamed that: he made tsampa with the Guhyagarbha Tantra, made vegetables with the Buddha Samayoga, and then enjoyed it. After reporting to the master, the master said that this was a sign that you had mastered those Dharmas, and you should comment on them. In order to follow the master's instructions, he created three key instructions based on the three trainings of mantra: In order to clarify the meaning of the training of higher morality, he wrote the Damtshig Dorje. In order to explain the training of higher concentration, he wrote the Four Branches and Fifteen Parts Commentary. In order to explain the training of higher wisdom, he wrote the three key instructions of the Great Perfection's view, meditation, and practice, as well as the Samayoga Commentary, the Narok Dongtru Gyud, the Vajrabhairava, and other commentaries and various key instructions on the demon-subduing category, and the Bodhisattvacharyavatara and other very many treatises. At that time, among most of the scholars of the four regions of Tibet, some accepted it with respect, and some even said that he was a true incarnation of the Buddha. Some people thought, how could a person born in Tibet write so many works, even more than the works of Indian scholars? Many scholars, such as Shabkyi Yang Kulama, Marpa Dowa, U Yukpa Dawa Samten, Do's Khyunpo Hungnying, Sechong Gyatsobar, Tshamton Gocha, Pangkhadar Chung, and Go Lhatse, wondered if they could refute him, and came to this master like wild yaks sharpening their horns. This great lion of speech, with his words that thoroughly understood the scriptures, reason, and the ultimate meaning of sound and meaning, merely hearing the sound of the five tones, destroyed the mountain of arrogance, and became a disciple who respectfully took the lotus feet with the crown of his head. It is said that it was so.
