In the Sutra of Lapa, it is said: 'The three realms of existence are impermanent, like autumn clouds. The birth and death of beings are like watching a dance. The life of a person passes like lightning in the sky, swiftly flowing like a waterfall cascading down a steep mountain.' Moreover, when the time of death arrives, no matter how perfect one's body, possessions, friends, relatives, none of them will follow. Whatever virtuous or non-virtuous actions one has accumulated will be inseparable from oneself. In the Sutra Admonishing the King, it is said: 'When a king departs, approached by death, possessions, friends, and relatives will not follow. Wherever beings dwell or go, karma follows behind like a shadow.' Thus, the consequences of white and black karma are connected to the stream of consciousness. If they are not ripened and not destroyed by antidotes, they will not be lost even after hundreds of thousands of eons. When the conditions meet and the time arrives, the results will inevitably ripen upon oneself without fail. As the Sutra says: 'The karmas of sentient beings will not be lost even after hundreds of eons. When they gather and the time arrives, they will ripen into their respective fruits.' The results of such karma are that virtuous actions lead to rebirth in higher realms, and non-virtuous actions lead to rebirth in the three lower realms. In this realm of the three realms, there is no opportunity for liberation, and one continues to cycle through birth and death again and again. Gyaltsab Je said: 'Just as there is no fragrance in impurity, there is no happiness in the five destinies.' Therefore, this entire cycle of the three realms is of the nature of suffering, without even the slightest opportunity for happiness. In the hells, there is unbearable suffering of boiling, burning, cutting, and hacking, heat and cold. The pretas (hungry ghosts) are emaciated from hunger, thirst, exhaustion, searching, and fleeing. Animals are foolish and ignorant, beaten, driven, exploited, unable to act as they please, and terrified of being killed. Humans experience the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death; the suffering of not finding what one seeks; the suffering of protecting what one has; the suffering of separation from loved ones; and the suffering of encountering enemies. These sufferings are obvious to us all. The asuras (demigods) experience the suffering of fighting and quarreling. The gods of the desire realm experience the suffering of being afflicted by the omens of death. The formless realm beings fall to lower realms when their previous merit is exhausted.

etc., and therefore cannot be trusted. In short, the sufferings of each of the six realms, and in general, the eight sufferings, six sufferings, and three sufferings, etc., are countless. Therefore, generate renunciation for this cycle of existence, the source of all faults, and strive to attain liberation, which is the cessation of the cause of cyclic existence, afflictions and their seeds, which is nirvana alone. Even in liberation, there are three types of enlightenment. But for the sake of all sentient beings, generate the intention to strive for the great liberation, the state of Buddhahood. All sentient beings pervading the sky have not been our parents in our previous lives. All are kind. They must be rescued from suffering and placed in happiness. For this, one must first attain Buddhahood oneself. Therefore, for the sake of sentient beings, I shall attain the state of perfect and complete enlightenment. If that Buddhahood also comes from meditating on the meaning of the sacred Dharma, then now enter the door of the ultimate essence of the sacred Dharma, the profound mandala of the Great Secret Vajrayana, and accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, think in this way. Or, for the sake of all sentient beings pervading the sky, I shall attain the state of the four kayas and five wisdoms, the union of Kuntuzangpo Vajradhara, the Great One. For this purpose, receive the ripening empowerment in the great Che-ge mandala, and perfect the profound yoga of the two stages of the path of liberation, thus generating the supreme bodhicitta, and the conduct and motivation of listening to the Dharma, listen well after clarifying them as stated in the sutras and tantras. Moreover, we have obtained this precious human body that is difficult to find, endowed with the eighteen qualities of leisure and endowment, but all conditioned things are of impermanent nature, so we do not know when death will come. After death, consciousness follows karma, so we must strive to correctly adopt and abandon good and evil. No matter where we are born in the higher or lower realms of samsara, we cannot transcend the nature of the three sufferings. Wandering in samsara since beginningless time. Again, one must experience the suffering of endless samsara, therefore, generate a strong mind of renunciation.
