whose nature is like the sky. Like the element, without cause or condition. There is no gathering and no birth. There is no destruction or abiding. It is said. That which is eternally indestructible. Because it is of its own nature, it is not made. The indestructible itself is steadfast. It is explained by steadfastness and so on. Thus it is said. The way of abiding is that the essence is unborn, so emptiness is like the sky. The nature is unceasing and luminous. The form is united and abides in the nature of awareness. From Rangshar it is said: The essence of that realm is like the sky. Nature is self-luminous. Compassion abides in the essence of awareness and becomes the basis of all qualities. It is said. That which appears as delusion and liberation is imputed from the perspective of sentient beings, but in reality, neither delusion nor liberation can be found. Just as the sky and the sun are obscured and unobscured by clouds, this is due to the distorted vision of embodied beings dwelling on the earth, but for those two, there is no obscuration or unobscuration. Whatever the luminous nature of the mind is. It is immutable like the sky. Attachment, etc., arising from untrue thoughts. It is not defiled by sudden stains. It is said. In the Guhyagarbha Tantra it is said: By clinging to self with conceptual thought. Forcibly throwing the knot into the sky. Without bondage and without liberation. The Dharma of the Buddha is spontaneously perfect from the beginning. It is said. The reason for this is that, like the sky, existence and non-existence, yes and no, permanence and annihilation, birth and death, etc., all extremes of elaboration are completely pacified, and there is no duality, it is the nature of the Middle Way. In the Great Nirvana Sutra it is said: The Buddha residing in sentient beings nature is like the sky. The sky is not past, future, or present. It is not internal or external, just as it does not gather form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, so too is the nature of the Buddha. It is said. In the Vajra Tent Tantra it is said: As many as there are realms of space. There are thousands of world realms. Great bliss, perfect great seal. The Buddha abides like the sky. It is said. The reason why, from the essence of the heart, the faults of samsara are abandoned and removed, and the qualities of nirvana are established and added to, is also. In the Uttaratantra it is said: Because faults are sudden, qualities are self-nature

Therefore. Just as before, so it is afterwards. It is the nature of being immutable. Thus it is said. In both that and the Ornament of Realization. There is nothing here to be abandoned, there is not the slightest thing to be established, to see reality as it is, to see reality is to be liberated. Thus it is said. Therefore, in both samsara and nirvana, there is no distinction between good and bad, acceptance and rejection, so there is no near or far, pervading like the sky. As the Uttaratantra says: Like the self-nature without discrimination, the sky pervades everywhere, the nature of mind is the stainless realm, likewise it goes everywhere. Thus it is said. Secondly, from the co-emergent. "Appears as such." Thus it is said. The essence, luminous by its own nature, is like the sky, and the sudden obscurations that obscure it arise like rising clouds. That is, the co-emergent ignorance, which arises simultaneously with the pure nature and without before or after, is like gold and dirt, and the sudden delusion that is falsely posited as existent, the ignorance of all the appearances of objects and subjects. The basis of all delusions, the great demon that gives rise to all faults, does not recognize its own nature, and the habits of grasping the object and the mind, which are conceived as two, gradually grow and expand. From that, the outer container world and the inner sentient beings each cling to and grasp, and the six realms of beings, whose dwelling places, castes, forms, and actions are all different, are like dreams deceived by sleep, and although there is not a single one in reality, various appearances of delusion appear. To briefly explain its meaning, there are five: First, the basis of delusion is, delusion from an existing basis, such as the perception of a snake on a variegated rope because a snake exists. Delusion from non-existence, such as a person with blurred vision seeing strands of hair in the sky. From non-differentiation, delusion is like the nature of camphor having two abilities, so it becomes medicine for fever and poison for wind disease. Second, the cause of delusion is, as the Guhyagarbha Tantra says: The fault of the root of existence arises from clinging to self. Thus it is said, the general cause of all the dharmas of samsara is clinging to self, and the specific cause of the lineage is the essence of the Tathagatagarbha, the pure nature of reality, the slight abiding of not recognizing one's own nature, the non-dual self.
