Such as, "I am the lord, the principle of non-duality, pervading both the stable and the moving." And so on. Also, in the "Supreme Tantra, Vajrasattva Heart Mirror," it says, "All sentient beings in the world have the Tathagatagarbha, just as sesame seeds are filled with oil." Furthermore, in the "Self-Arisen Tantra," it says, "The true intention of the Buddha is that in the self-nature of all sentient beings, it exists in the form of body and wisdom." And so on, extensively explained. As its proof, the protector Maitreya presented three reasons: "The perfect Buddha body radiates light, likewise, suchness is without difference, because of having the Buddha-nature, all beings constantly possess the Tathagatagarbha." Meaning that all sentient beings can radiate the light of the Dharma body of the Buddha, which is pervasive; the suchness of sentient beings and the Buddha, like the space in a clay pot and a golden pot, is without difference; in the continuum of sentient beings, there are two kinds of Buddha-nature that can give rise to the three bodies of the Buddha. The reason for having the Tathagatagarbha is shown by example, as in the "Angulimala Sutra," it says, "Just as milk has butter, so it needs to be churned, and water without butter does not need to be churned; those who desire gold need to carve on rocks, not on trees." Similarly, sentient beings have the Buddha-nature, so practicing to become a Buddha is meaningful, but if there is no Buddha-nature, then practice is meaningless, this reason is extensively explained. The noble Nagarjuna said, "If one has the Buddha-nature, then by acting, one will see sali rice, etc., but if one does not have the Buddha-nature, then by acting, one will only generate afflictions." By reasoning, from the meaning of the "Ratnavali Sutra," it is shown by the reverse method of the "Uttaratantra": "If there is no Tathagatagarbha, then one will not be weary of suffering, nor will one desire Nirvana, and aspiration and prayer will not arise." It is also shown by the method of arising: "In samsara and Nirvana, seeing the faults and merits of their suffering and happiness, this is because of having the Buddha-nature, those without the Buddha-nature do not have it." The nature of the Tathagatagarbha is not produced by causes and conditions, so it is beyond the realm of thought, such as constant and momentary, so it never perishes. And it possesses the four qualities of permanence, bliss, self, and purity, so it is said to be unconditioned. The mind
