La. In short, after the Buddha's great qualities are accomplished as desired, one should diligently engage in this, as the qualities such as quickly attaining perfect and complete enlightenment are inconceivable. Eighth, the reason for studying in this way is: Well, it would be enough to attain liberation alone, but why is it necessary to liberate all sentient beings from samsara? Because all sentient beings are parents. The kindness of parents is inconceivable, so one must study in order to repay their kindness. The kindness is also that they have made the cause and basis for nurturing body and life, have nourished us from childhood with abundant food and drink, have endured various sufferings and hardships, cherish us more than themselves, more than their own hearts, and then also bestow shares of wealth and possessions, teach the qualities of knowledge, and lead us to the sacred Dharma, etc. The kindness of parents is inconceivable, so they must be liberated from samsara. Furthermore, all sentient beings have the essence of the cause of enlightenment, so there is also a connection, so they must be liberated from samsara. Tsogyal said that if one only desires peace and happiness for oneself, one will not encounter the perfect Buddha. Ninth, the faults of not studying are: falling into the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, becoming an obstacle to great enlightenment, all actions becoming meaningless, all the accumulated merit of the past being exhausted, constantly being harmed by non-humans, being displeasing and hateful to all, and in short, all wishes not being fulfilled, etc., there are countless faults. Tsogyal said that hoping for the Great Vehicle without the mind of enlightenment is a bad omen. Tenth, there are two dharmas to be protected: First, the protection of aspirational bodhicitta is: one must repeatedly study bodhicitta with the thought of not abandoning sentient beings. That is, if one has the thought of abandoning other sentient beings as objects, and has previously done things like anger and violence, and has not been able to remedy it with an antidote, and a day and night has passed, then the aspiration is diminished. If one has the thought of deceiving those who are worthy of respect, such as the lama, the khenpo, and the vajra brothers, and has deceived them beforehand, and has not been able to remedy it with an antidote, and a day and night has passed, then it is diminished. If one feels regret for others who are objects of rejoicing, for others doing great roots of virtue, which is not a cause for regret,

Due to previous thoughts, regret arises from thinking "it's worse than this," as well as slanderous words triggered by anger towards Bodhisattvas who have generated Bodhicitta, and deception due to a lack of compassion towards other sentient beings, etc. If a day passes before the antidote is applied, this is called the path of downfall, because the vows of aspirational Bodhicitta are lost, so it must be abandoned. TsoGyal (མཚོ་རྒྱལ) said that taking many vows that are not kept is the cause of ruin. Furthermore, there are five actions to rely on: As an antidote to actions of anger and beating towards sentient beings, always benefit them with peacefulness and gentleness; as an antidote to deceiving those who should be respected, rejoice in the roots of virtue that transform all sentient beings into the great Bodhi of Buddhahood; as an antidote to slander with anger, praise those of the Great Vehicle with the perception of them as teachers; as an antidote to deceiving sentient beings, abide with a completely pure intention towards all, establishing one's own mind as a witness. Even if reborn as a woman, one will uphold the teachings of Shakyamuni. Secondly, the Dharma to be protected upon entering is divided into three First, the three actions of the body are: killing, taking what is not given, and sexual misconduct. The nature of killing is to cut off the stream of life. Classification: From the perspective of the three poisons: killing out of desire is killing for the sake of desiring meat and skin, etc.; killing out of hatred is accompanied by nine kinds of completely tormenting thoughts, such as wanting to eat human flesh, etc.; killing out of ignorance is without such thoughts, like a child killing a bird, or like an ant being crushed underfoot. Sentient beings not separated from the three poisons have no happiness. Its branches have four: first is the thought of generating "I will do such a sinful deed"; second is striving for it, that is, engaging in it with effort; third is the actual experience, that is, killing.
