As before. Second, the thoroughly established is to impute existence to what is non-existent. Then, by whom is it established? By one's own mind. Where is it established? It is established on the two, object and mind. How is it established? It is established as self and other. For example, the case of establishing a stake as a person. Third, the conditions are the three actions and the five afflictions. That is, virtuous actions cause gods, humans, etc. of the desire realm to be born in higher realms, unwavering actions cause birth in the form realm, and non-virtuous actions cause birth in the lower realms. The afflictions are: hatred causes hell, desire causes hungry ghosts, ignorance causes animals, jealousy causes demi-gods, and pride causes birth as gods and humans. That is, the power of having the three actions. Fourth, the agent is the moment of wrong thought, because the continuous connection of that causes the arising of cyclic existence, it is the impure dependent arising. That is, appearance arises from emptiness, thereby grasping awareness as self, depending on self, other arises, from the part of other, the three poisons of attachment, aversion, and delusion arise, thereby accumulating the three actions, the actions experience ripening results. Because of the continuous moment of wrong thought, depending on the appearance of similar others and the fixation on existence, attachment to permanence arises as real, clinging to attachment, viewing it as delusion, thereby accomplishing the dharma of cyclic existence. Fifth, the result is taking the body of the six realms, experiencing various sufferings in their respective places. Regarding this, in general, there is neither beginning nor end, specifically, there is an end. Thus, there are two purposes for explaining the way of delusion: The purpose of refuting others is to liberate the clinging to the belief that delusion on the basis is established in one's own mindstream. The purpose of seeking meaning is to realize that delusion on the basis is not established and that it is naturally pure. That is, because delusion is fabricated and temporary, if one knows its nature, delusion will dissolve on its own, just as when one knows it is a stake, the delusion of grasping it as a person will naturally dissolve. Second, the meaning of the main text is threefold: the preliminary of the path, the nature of the path itself, and the contributing factors of the path. The first part is threefold: taking the basis to be accomplished by the five perfections, explaining the order of the protective circles, and entering the path through the five key points. The first part is fivefold: taking the basis to be accomplished by the five perfections, that is: in what place, at what time, by whom, what substance, how to accomplish.

Firstly, regarding the location: rocks, forests, cemeteries, caves, etc., one should examine their faults and merits. As it says, "examine faults and merits," rock caves are the abode of Matri goddesses and Rakshasas, wisdom is clear, and they are fond of expedient methods; forests are the abode of Nagas and Yakshas, the dwelling is vast, and they are fond of new things; cemeteries are the abode of Yama, flesh-eaters, and Dakinis, blessings are great, and they are fond of old things; earth caves are the abode of Te'u Rangma, Matri goddesses, and Damse spirits, they are easily frightened, and they are fond of practicing Matri; a single-legged tree with a deity statue is the abode of Tirthikas, they are fond of practicing Mahadeva. All these locations should be understood. As for "examining faults and merits," there are three aspects: faults of not possessing characteristics, merits of possessing characteristics, and recognizing the manner of possessing. Firstly, the faults: if the eastern mountain is high, it harms life; if the west is too inclined, it is not auspicious; if the mountain peak pierces like a spear, there will be obstacles; if hot and cold are not balanced, illness will occur; if there are fierce spirits, there will be obstacles; if a poisoned arrow is stuck, there will be harm from humans. Furthermore, if there is a rock about to fall from above, or it looks like weeping tear marks, or like scratches from fingernails, or like stretched dead skin, or if there are ant holes in the door, or if it appears that one cannot stand at the door, these are all earth enemies and are faulty. Secondly, the merits: if the rock looks like someone sitting in the vajra posture, it will give rise to samadhi; if it looks like an opening lotus flower, it will give rise to realization; if the earth and sky are triangular, the distance to accomplishment is near; if the back mountain is high, one feels warm; if the north mountain is high, it is auspicious; if the south looks like a gathering place, wealth gathers; if there are no earth enemies, it is auspicious, and this is a great merit. Thirdly, recognizing the manner of possessing: if the earth is like an eight-petaled lotus, if the sky is like an eight-spoked wheel, if the back mountain is high, if the north mountain is moist, if the right side is like a white silk curtain, if the left side is like a piled-up mountain, if the front is like crossed vajras, if all the mountains are moist and full, in short, if the west is high, the north is sheltered, the east is inclined, the south faces, the front is a plain, the river flows from the direction of power, the sun is constant and the snow mountain is high, the clarity is great and it is solid, the hot and cold are balanced and the earth deity is gentle, the distance is moderate and the land is stable, auspicious and trodden by the feet of accomplished ones, one should seek such a place. When building a monastery there, it is necessary to suppress the heart of the earth; if it is like a lotus petal, then at the center of the lotus; if it is like the vajra posture, then at the crossing point; if it is like a Dharma source, then
