May all gatherings of landslips, sins, obscurations, faults, transgressions, and stains be purified and cleansed from their very root. Having prayed thus, Vajrasattva said, "Son of noble family, I have purified all your sins and obscurations," and bestowed reassurance. The Lama Vajrasattva himself dissolved into oneself with great joy. Oneself also, in the uncontrived ground of all, the mind is free from grasping. Pure, free from elaboration, Dharmakaya. Thus, with great joy, visualize dissolving into oneself as light, and remain in the uncontrived, ungrasping state of the natural condition. When arising from that, dedicate the merit. Thus, the power of reliance with refuge and bodhicitta as the preliminary, the power of applying the antidote of diligently practicing meditation and recitation, the power of completely destroying regret for past sins, and the power of firmly vowing not to commit them in the future, turning back from wrongdoing. The signs of practicing with these four powers manifest in reality and dreams. The result is that the two obscurations are effortlessly purified. Fifth, self-blessing to make oneself a vessel for secret mantra: Furthermore, just as the essence of lion's milk cannot be contained in an inferior vessel, one must possess a golden vessel like the generation stage of self-blessing. And because it is difficult to abandon the habitual tendencies of the ordinary body, if one remains in an ordinary state during sessions, obstacles will arise on the path. If one meditates as a deity, it is easier to purify habitual tendencies and obstacles will not arise. And, by combining the deity's meditation and recitation with samadhi, one unites the generation and completion stages. If one knows it as ordinary, one cannot bless the outer vessel, inner essence, and offering substances, but if one visualizes it as a deity, one can bless them, etc., so there is this necessity. Self-blessing through deity yoga is as follows: In the center of the residence, charnel ground, or palace of enjoyment, on a lotus and sun seat, one instantly transforms into glorious Hayagriva, with a red body, one face, two arms, a large body, and coarse limbs. The three eyes are red and round, the mouth is open, and the teeth are bared. The right hand holds a curved knife raised in the sky in a gesture of subjugation, and the left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood at the heart. The hair is yellowish-red and swirls upwards, and on the crown of the head is a green horse head that neighs. There are red bindus on the cheeks, and designs of butter on the neck. There are heaps of great ashes on the eyebrows and ribs.

Adorned with a human skin shawl and an elephant hide upper garment, wearing a tiger skin loincloth. Adorned with a headdress of five dry human heads and a necklace of fifty wet ones. The body is adorned with six bone ornaments, and the hands and feet are adorned with snake bracelets. A khatvanga is leaned against the left elbow. The right leg is bent and the left leg is extended, trampling the four maras. In the left lap is the consort Vajravarahi, with a black body, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a curved knife, embracing the father's neck, and the left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood, feeding it into the father's mouth. On the top of the head is a black pig face, making grunting pig noises. The body is adorned with bone ornaments and a leopard skin loincloth. Both feet are entwined around the father's waist. Contemplate the father and mother residing in the midst of blazing flames of wisdom. Instantly, one's own self becomes red Hayagriva. Varahi becomes dark blue, in union. Holding a knife and skull cup, trampling the four maras. Possessing charnel ground adornments, clearly manifest in the midst of a heap of wisdom fire. In this way, visualize the deity clearly, and generate stable pride. And also know that everything is like an illusion of light, and abide in that state. Finally, recite "Om Padmāntakṛtahaya Grīva Hulu Hulu Hūṃ Phaṭ (藏文:ཨོཾ་པདྨཱནྟ་ཀྲྀཏ་ཧ་ཡ་གྲཱི་ཝ་ཧུ་ལུ་ཧུ་ལུ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ padmāntakṛtahaya grīva hulu hulu hūṃ phaṭ,汉语字面意思:Om, Lotus, End, Maker, Hayagriva, Hulu, Hulu, Hum, Phat)" a hundred times or twenty-one times. During the main practice, it is necessary to ensure that not even for a moment are you lost to the power of distracting circumstances. Therefore, from these preliminary stages, one must bind body and mind tightly together, like threading a needle, without being swayed by one's own frivolous nature and fondness for distraction, without being deceived by the pleasures of the five senses, and without being led astray by the play of the six consciousnesses, guarding one's thoughts like a vigilant sentinel. Sixth, the guidance on receiving the four empowerments through reliance on the mandala: This is a special method for quickly completing the accumulation of merit, by offering a mandala and praying to the lama, thereby quickly obtaining the blessings and empowerments. Whether the mandala is of superior, intermediate, or inferior quality, it must be complete and without flaws. The offerings should be precious jewels for the superior, medicine for the intermediate, and grains etc. for the inferior, as well as liquid mixed with fragrant water. Hold the mandala in the right hand, wipe it with the left hand, and recite the "Svabhava" mantra, purifying the clinging to the inherent nature of things, and contemplate emptiness. Anoint with fragrant water, and the thumb of the left hand
