Born in this place. In particular, the five senses, such as the eyes, which are the basis for hearing and thinking, are complete, without defects and radiant. The gateway to enter, with faith in what is worthy of faith, not following the inverted paths of heretics, etc., therefore not deviating from the edge, possessing all favorable conditions for the path, that is, the five self-endowments. Moreover, it also possesses the five other-endowments. Because, even if one possesses the five self-endowments, if one does not possess the five other-endowments, it is like not being able to see with the eyes at night without a lamp. That is: The Buddha came and taught the Dharma, the teachings remain and are followed, and compassion arises in the heart for others. Therefore, the teacher Buddha came into the world. He proclaimed the supreme Dharma of liberation. His teachings have not yet disappeared. There are also those who follow him. They can also embrace others with compassion. In addition, I also think that I have those who provide food, clothing, and other favorable conditions. Thus, this precious human body, possessing the eighteen qualities of leisure and endowment, is certainly difficult to obtain, no matter from what angle one examines the cause, condition, example, or number. It is difficult to obtain from the perspective of cause, because in the past we obtained it by relying on guarding pure morality. As it is said in the *Madhyamakāvatāra*: "The cause of higher realms is none other than morality." Therefore, among sentient beings, those who accumulate evil deeds are very many, and those who do good are very few. Among them, the cause that can lead to rebirth as a human, guarding pure morality, is even rarer than the dust on a fingernail, so in general, a human body is difficult to obtain. In particular, obtaining such a Dharma-endowed human body is due to the power of accumulating many collections of merit. It is also difficult to obtain from the perspective of conditions, I am now embraced by the great compassion of the Lama, the virtuous friend. If one can practice oneself, one will also encounter the profound secret instructions that will definitely lead to enlightenment in one lifetime. Therefore, we have entered the gate of the profound secret mantra Dharma. We have the right to practice the Dharma. The causes and conditions for practicing the Dharma are complete and perfect. Mainly, it also depends on one's own good aspirations at the time of death.

Thus I contemplate. It is also difficult to obtain from the perspective of analogy, like a single-holed yoke meeting a blind sea turtle. That is because in the outer great ocean, there is a single-holed yoke, and a blind sea turtle stretches its neck once every hundred years, to see if its head can fit into the hole. This is similar to (how difficult it is to obtain a human body). Why is it so difficult to get in? If that wood had many holes, if it couldn't get into one, perhaps it could get into another. But there is only one hole. If it were stationary, perhaps it would be easy to get in. But that wood is driven by the winds of existence and the waves of the river, drifting up and down in all directions. If that turtle's eyes were not blind, it could see, but its eyes are blind. If it looked often, perhaps it could get in a few times. But it only stretches its neck once every hundred years. Oh, that is not actually real, but it is to show how difficult it is for us to obtain a human body. As Nagarjuna said: 'The single-holed yoke drifting in the great ocean, meeting a blind sea turtle, even more difficult than the animal realm, is it to obtain a human body, O King! By practicing the sacred Dharma, may its fruits ripen!' Thus he said. Furthermore, like scattering countless peas on the surface of the mud, if other conditions are complete, perhaps one or two can remain. Most of them cannot remain. Also like the Udumbara flower, or winter flowers, or daytime stars, etc. Thus I contemplate. It is also difficult to obtain from the perspective of numbers, because in the world, whether owned or unowned, sentient beings, birds, wild animals, etc., are unimaginably numerous. But among them, the animals living in the depths of the great ocean are the most numerous, like thick dregs of beer. Not only that, in summer, ants, mosquitoes, bees, etc., fill the earth, mountains, rivers, and sky. But even more than that, are in the realm of the pretas. Even more than the pretas, are in the eighteen hells. Compared to them, we gods and humans are like a boundary. Thus I contemplate. Thus, no matter which perspective we consider, whether cause, analogy, or number, it is certain that it is difficult to obtain this precious human body with the six realms, so what is the purpose of obtaining it? All the Buddhas also rely on this basis to reach the primordial ground.
