It's like swallowing poison. That suffering is just like a mother who has lost her only child. Enduring suffering for the sake of happiness is like a strongman's juggling act. Thinking of suffering as happiness is like licking honey from a sword with your tongue. Therefore, one should be as disgusted with samsara as a criminal escaping from prison. Just like a patient with constant pain, there is not even a moment's chance of happiness. Therefore, now we are all born in the central region where the Dharma exists. The Guru, the virtuous friend, has taken us in with great compassion. We have encountered the teachings of profound pith instructions. Therefore, we have all entered the gate of the profound secret mantra. We know the method of practicing the Dharma. We have the ability to practice the Dharma. If we do not practice at this time when all the causes, conditions, and interdependent relationships on the path of Dharma practice are complete, it will be like deceiving ourselves. That is even more foolish than a merchant returning empty-handed from a treasure island. Now, in this time when we have autonomy, we must practice the pure Dharma that will not cause us to fall into the high and low places of samsara again. Don't think that you will die, and even after emerging from meditation, you should repeatedly and strongly contemplate. Fourth, the guidance on contemplating the results of actions: When we do good deeds, it will bring the result of happiness; when we do evil deeds, it will ripen into the cause of suffering. For example, if you plant a sweet seed, it will bear sweet fruit; if you plant a bitter seed, it will bear bitter fruit. Therefore, just as sweet and bitter fruits ripen separately, the results of good and evil deeds will also ripen separately, so one must learn to take and abandon good and evil without confusion. Whether it is a good deed or an evil deed, although it is small at the time of the causal action, it will increase greatly when the result ripens. The smallest increase will increase a hundredfold or a thousandfold, and the largest increase is immeasurable, the increase of the result is the same. Therefore, if the karma you have accumulated is not destroyed by strong force, it is impossible to waste it in vain before the result ripens, so you must understand the places to take and abandon, and so on.

It is very important to be careful about the place. In this regard, the Sutra says: "The actions of sentient beings, even for hundreds of kalpas, will not be wasted. When the time of gathering comes, they will ripen individually into fruits." Also, as stated in the Four Hundred Verses: "For a Bodhisattva with the thought of enlightenment, whether it is virtuous or non-virtuous, everything will turn into auspiciousness, because the mind is free." Furthermore, as stated in the Bodhisattvacharyavatara: "From now on, even if sleeping or being careless, the power of merit, uninterrupted and numerous, will increase like the sky." As it is said, therefore, even if it is said that there are eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, which are inconceivable and inexhaustible, if they are all summarized, as stated in the Abhidharmakosha: "If we summarize from this, virtuous and non-virtuous, all kinds of, the paths of action are explained as ten." As it is said, the main thing is that there are ten ways to abandon non-virtue, and ten ways to cultivate virtue. First, there are ten ways to abandon non-virtue, which are three of the body, four of speech, and three of the mind. Among them, from the aspect of the body, taking away by means of others' power, war, or robbery, or obtaining by means of deception such as using improper weights and measures, that is, taking what is not given. Engaging in sexual activity with a woman who is not one's spouse, that is, engaging in improper conduct. Killing sentient beings, whatever it may be, as long as the thought of killing is deeply rooted in the mind before death, that is, killing, these are the three actions of the body. Then, from the aspect of speech, knowingly speaking untruthfully, that is, lying. Speaking harsh words that harm others, that is, harsh speech. Sowing discord between the friendships of others, that is, divisive speech. Idle talk refers to idle chatter that does not belong to the above three, such as singing, discussing war, love, etc., as well as propagating heretical views, etc. In short, all non-virtuous actions such as slandering others belong to the four actions of speech. From the aspect of the mind, even if others' wealth is not one's own, having the greedy thought of wanting to possess it. Having the harmful thought that if I do this, it will cause harm to him. Wrong view refers to not believing in past and future lives, karma, the Three Jewels, etc. In short, all these non-virtuous actions, let alone actual actions.
