Due to environmental factors, the previous non-conceptual purity also gives rise to the arising of perception and the absence of clinging to the antidote, a self-luminous, vast, and fundamentally flat awareness. Recognize this as the meditation of self-abiding awareness. From then on, whether awareness is in a state of stillness, movement, negation, affirmation, good thoughts, or bad thoughts, one should focus on looking at the self-knowing and self-abiding state. In this way, the ungrasping and self-abiding meditation will naturally manifest, and this alone is the effortless and spontaneous practice like a flowing river. If one gains some stability in this, and then combines the gentle, harsh, and moderate behaviors with one's own experience, merging them with meditation, then all actions, words, thoughts, and discriminations will appear as the play of Dharma-nature, without distinction between equality and subsequence, without the interval of day and night, without the opposition of acceptance and rejection, without the separation of what is to be meditated upon and the meditator. Everything is absorbed into the self-radiance of awareness, the state of Dharma exhaustion and primordial purity. As the *Transcendent Change* states: "In the essence of primordial purity and wisdom, there is no existence called ignorance. There is no counting of one and two, and even wisdom itself is not established." It is like this. Second, introducing the play of self-radiant wisdom, divided into three points: First, introducing abiding as the ornament of the mind: The three doors of body, speech, and mind are naturally relaxed, and after various negating and affirming thoughts arise, they are completely let go. In this way, all the elaborations of conceptual thoughts are pacified, and the original state of co-emergent clarity and emptiness naturally abides, just as the waves subside in the ocean, and the water is clear and unmoving. As the *Self-Arisen* states: "Transcending the extremes of permanence and annihilation, the stains of the four extremes are naturally purified." At that time, the mind free from elaboration is the Dharmakaya, clarity without grasping is the Sambhogakaya, and the uninterrupted appearance of various forms is the Nirmanakaya, because the essence, nature, and compassion are inseparable. As the *Jewel Array* states: "Perfect enlightenment is self-knowing, the essence is unchanging in the three times, the nature is eternally unceasing, and compassion shines upon all." And as the *Transcendent Change* states: "Wisdom abides in itself, inseparable in the form of the three kayas." It is like this. Second, introducing arising as the play of the mind: From the state of mind that is clear and non-conceptual, the uninterrupted potential of whatever arises is

When appearances arise, without engaging in negation, affirmation, acceptance, or rejection, but maintaining a natural state, just as waves arise in the ocean without ever leaving the nature of the ocean, all thoughts that arise do not deviate from the play of dharmata. As it says in the *Fine Arrangement*: "Unobstructed potential manifests in any way, From the very moment of arising, it is liberated in its own place. 'Liberation' cannot be expressed merely as such, Therefore, what is not liberated?" And, just as from the moment of arising, it is self-liberated without depending on an antidote, like a snake's knot, as it says in the *Consequence*: "As the awareness of how it arises, Is self-liberated like a snake's knot." This is how it is taught. Third, introducing the non-duality of emanation and abiding: Although various thoughts arise unceasingly from the state of mind itself, which is non-conceptual, by leaving them in their natural state without negation, affirmation, acceptance, or rejection, they abide without wavering in the state of dharmata. Because the self-power of abiding emanates unceasingly, the nature of emanation and abiding are non-dual, just as waves arise from the ocean but subside into the ocean and cannot be distinguished. No matter how thoughts arise, they are spontaneously born and spontaneously subside, and do not go beyond the state of dharmata, so it should be understood in this way. As it says in the *Marvelous*: "Like the waves of the ocean, All the moving waves of the mind, Dissolve into the primordial ground ocean." And in the *Doha*: "As long as it emanates from the mind, That itself is the nature of the protector, Are water and waves different?" As it is said. Likewise, if the mind abides, it abides in the primordial state; if it emanates, it appears as the play of wisdom; if it is equal, it is in the state of non-duality. No matter what is done, it does not go beyond the play of dharmata, so do not prolong abiding, do not negate emanation, and do not cultivate equality. No matter how it arises, do not grasp it as such, so it is an introduction to the view of the Great Perfection, the self-nature of dharmata that transcends negation, affirmation, acceptance, and rejection. Thus, establish recognition. Furthermore, previously, at that particular time, when experience arose in awareness regarding the meaning to be meditated upon, that itself is the introduction. If conceptual constructs are cut off in the context of the natural state, then by maintaining that continuity without losing it, stability will gradually be attained. Again, if at that time experience does not arise regarding the meaning to be meditated upon, but it goes into the realm of understanding, then even if an introduction is given at this time, it will be like a bird flying away. As previously explained.
