Place ten fingers on the ground. Extend the knees backward. Straighten the spine. Join the palms together without touching the crown of the head. Extend both elbows straight outward. Press down on the Adam's apple in the throat. Tightly clench the four calf muscles, and like the vajra posture, meditate on a blazing blue three-pointed vajra. This will cause the body to feel weak and painful, unable to stand, generate heat, and the mind will be free from thoughts. At that time, let the body naturally relax and maintain the natural state of non-thought. Furthermore, the three upward points of the vajra represent the three: essence, nature, and compassion, and the three downward points represent the three kayas. The waist being united as one symbolizes the path being indivisible. Its purpose is threefold: commonly, it purifies the sins of the body and eliminates obstacles; especially, it reverses the attachment to the body, thus preventing falling into samsara; ultimately, it becomes inseparable from the Dharmakaya Vajra Nirmanakaya. Secondly, regarding the preliminary practices of speech, there are four. As stated in "The Fall," "Speech dwells in Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), applying the seal and diligent practice, entering the path with gentleness." The first of these is divided into two, applying the seal on the external appearance: In a secluded place, sit with the seven-point posture, and visualize a blue Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) at the heart center, making it appear clearly. With the teeth and lips barely touching, blend the breath and consciousness with the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) into one, and sing the melodious and long Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) song, from the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) at the heart center, many Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllables emerge, flowing out from the right nostril. All external appearances are filled with the flames of Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), and all appearances manifest as the nature of Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), this is applying the seal. This has the necessity of liberating appearances into selflessness. Again, applying the seal on the internal aggregates: Again, reciting the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) as before, all the external Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllables enter without obstruction from the left nostril, visualizing the entire inside of the body filled with flames, and holding the breath. The body effortlessly appears to be filled with Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), and feeling uncomfortable, this is applying the seal. This has the necessity of liberating the aggregates into selflessness. Secondly, diligent practice is divided into two, diligent practice on the external appearance: The Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable at the heart center appears clearly as before, reciting the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) with strong power and vigor, from the Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) at the heart center, a dark blue Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable emerges.

Fierce, rough, and sharp, Possessing swift power, delighting in any place, large or small, many things in accordance with it arise suddenly. Therefore, thinking that all external appearances are completely pierced through and become empty and hollow. All appearances arise clearly and insubstantially from the nature of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), this is mastery of skill. Therefore, there is a need to liberate appearances into insubstantial luminosity. The practice of skill on the inner aggregates is: As before, reciting Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable with four characteristics pierces through one's own body from all directions, front, back, top, and bottom, without obstruction, thinking that it becomes empty and hollow. If the flesh of the body throbs and aches like bubbles, and the body appears like a reflection of the moon in water, without inherent existence, then it is mastery. Therefore, there is a need to liberate the aggregates into the rainbow body of luminosity. The third is seeking suppleness: Setting up a support like a small tree in front, reciting the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) of speech melodiously and long, a continuous string of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) arises from the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) in the heart. Gradually winding it from the base of the support, reaching the top, releasing it for a moment and resting. Again, gradually unwinding it, gathering it inward, completely dissolving it into the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) in the heart, and then resting. In this way, uniting wind, mind, and Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) into one, benefiting from the path as one trains in going and returning inwardly and outwardly. The intensity of conceptual thoughts subsides, one attains pliancy of mind, and one is able to transform any object of focus, this is the meaning of seeking suppleness. The fourth is entering the path: Making one's own body, wind, and mind inseparable, visualizing it as a blue Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable, entering a path like an ant's trail in front, walking, resting slightly at the bends. Thinking of going to the distant and limitless other shore, reciting Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体: हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) long and resting naturally. Again, returning as before, resting in one's own place. In this way, initially, experiences of joy and sorrow, etc., arise with high and low feelings, and ultimately, body and mind appear pervaded by uncontaminated bliss. Therefore, body, speech, and mind enter the correct path, conceptual thoughts naturally cease, and experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality increase steadily, thereby maintaining its own nature. The necessity of these is threefold: Commonly, it purifies the sins of speech and pacifies obstacles; especially speech.
