Remembering the previous instructions, devotion to the lama, the samadhi of illusion, whichever of generation and completion, union, is familiar, liberation will occur by making the memory and awareness of that unwavering. Third, for beings of inferior faculties, transferring consciousness in the realm of the self-existing kayas, although the door of this Dharma is seen, but stability is not attained, those who do not possess the degree of liberation of the three bardos, when the bardo of existence arises like a dream, through the blessing of the lineage of vidyadharas and the power of the profound nature of reality, at the moment of awakening from the dream, they will be born in pure lands such as Manifest Joy, see the faces of the Thus-Gone Ones, and hear their voices. Receiving empowerments and transmissions, transferring consciousness, prophecies, praises in sequence, thereby abandoning the bonds of afflictions, in an instant, they will be liberated in the primordial ground, thus it is said. Furthermore, in the bardo of existence, when one has not been liberated by other instructions, contemplate the pure land, in the space in front, a red dharmadhatu, in the center with the tip pointing upwards, visualize one's own mind as a white A syllable (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A). Connect with strong intention and aspiration, thinking that the dharmadhatu goes like a shooting star to whatever field one desires, abide in the state of non-proliferation, and one will surely be liberated in that field. Third general meaning, the subsequent instructions have three parts. Generally speaking about the key points of practice, separately explaining the key instructions for placing virtue on the scales, and the manner in which the irreversible result becomes manifest. First, especially with unfeigned strong devotion, earnestly supplicating the lama is the supreme method for dispelling obstacles and enhancing realization. Cut renunciation into the heart, display devotion to the fullest, generate unbearable compassion, rely on the nectar of the object, gather proliferation inward, let the winds be free, keep the body's key points intact, focus the essence of the senses on the expanse, occasionally hold the gentle vase breathing, at all times, hold and focus on the state of naked awareness-emptiness. Thus it is said, therefore, in whatever stage of practicing the actual instructions, it is very important to know the key points of dispelling obstacles, enhancing realization, and daily conduct without error, and to act accordingly. In particular, this is the key to all instructions.

The condensed meaning is this: If you regard the lama as an ordinary person and have little devotion, even the slightest qualities of Dharma will not arise in your mindstream. In particular, all experiences and realizations depend solely on the lama's blessings. Therefore, contemplate that the root lama who shows such a profound path and introduces you to the nature of reality is kinder to you than all the Buddhas, and be certain that there is no Buddha more supreme than him. First, generate artificial devotion as much as possible. Once you are accustomed to it, supplicate with intense, genuine devotion from the depths of your heart, taking this as the main practice of virtue. By that alone, it will become the single, supreme method for generating the qualities of dispelling obstacles, increasing progress, and so on. If you are attached to appearances, you will lose the root of practice, so always base yourself on intense sadness that arises from certainty of renunciation from samsara. If you do not have love, compassion, and bodhichitta, you will lose the essence of Mahayana Dharma, so do not separate from immeasurable compassion for all mother sentient beings who constantly experience the suffering of samsara. Vajrayana yogis do not engage in acceptance and rejection of the objects of the six senses as in the lower vehicles, but rely on the nectar of primordial self-liberation. That is, no matter how objects appear to the eye, do not reject them outwardly or grasp them inwardly, but carry them onto the path without attachment to appearances. By doing so, the objects themselves become friends of awareness, and all appearances are liberated into the wheel of awareness and wisdom. In this fleeting lifetime, in general, when you encounter the precious teachings of the Buddha, especially the Vajrayana, and especially this profound path that guarantees enlightenment in one lifetime, which is the supreme of the nine vehicles, take all worldly distractions as the basis for being the cause of meaningless suffering. Even the temporary distractions of listening, contemplating, and meditating, which are disguised as Dharma, are Knowing that it is only meaningless, with a firm mind, gather the elaborations inward and focus solely on the practice of primordial purity and spontaneous accomplishment. As an aid to that, do not separate from any of the physical postures and do not remain in an ordinary state. Since the clarity of the senses, the eye, is the gateway for the arising of wisdom, do not close your eyes and sit, but maintain the gaze and focus on the expanse and awareness. The mind-born being rides the horse of wind, constantly running outward to objects, subject to karma and habitual tendencies.
