With an amiable countenance, explaining the meaning with reason, restraining laughter with one's own language. hrīḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Shame). This is the weapon to destroy the enemies of the Bonpos. Because it is profound, a surveillance post is established. Without distraction, recite the fixed number of sessions. The dragon's roar suppresses the power of the monkey. The black dog and tigress utter fierce roars. Entering the gate of demons, four sessions or riding a horse during the day, lurking like a bat at night. Combined with epidemic times, six sessions or any one, for seven days without interruption. Those of superior, middling, and inferior faculties, in each session recite twenty-one times, or one hundred and eight times, or one thousand times. Complete the approach and accomplishment and activities with numbers. Having thus gained stability in samadhi, daily, during the day and night, recite the Vajra recitation with mindfulness. The three aspects of breath—outgoing, incoming, and abiding—accomplish all activities of arising and gathering. It is said that by controlling the Crow Vajra recitation, one can live for a thousand years. The profound treasure and the pure Kama lineage, the intention of Padmasambhava and Nubchen Sangye Yeshe (gnubs, modern place name Nibu), possessing oral instructions and characteristics. hrīḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Shame). Also, the sequence of red signs, outwardly, stars shine in the water. Likewise, in the clear ocean of heart blood, the oral instructions on how appearances manifest are explained. Wearing armor, holding weapons, occupying a strong castle, wearing a hat, clothes, and ornaments, residing in a tent home, surrounded by a fence of the elements. The sun and moon rise, and body and mind are at ease. Throwing cannons, darts, arrows, and so on, able to turn water into fire, withstand hail, control the situation, conquer enemies, and go forth. Any enemy that comes can be turned back. Various kinds of living beings, drawing them in or sending them away, are the life force. If it is lost, then one must diligently summon it back, establishing a firm goal. Because it is difficult to distinguish between the real and the false substitute, do not rush to kill, but prolong the torment. Killing, cutting, destroying, demolishing, obstructing, and hindering, throwing lingas, from flesh and blood, building stupas, mountains, earth, and stones, spreading mats, placing them face down underneath. Meteors appear in the sky, illusions appear in space, tormas and offering vessels appear on the ground. Outward, returning, and wandering are the three. Thus, according to the order of activities, measure phenomena, experiences, and dreams with reason. By thoroughly understanding the inner reality, transform the key of dependent origination that suppresses evil. Turn back, turn back again, according to the situation. If it has wandered, then identify it and establish a new goal. Again, combine it with experiences and signs. Temporarily free from the harm of external enemies, a million curses.
