Fourth is the image. The scripture says: Behind Yama, there is a black whirlwind of karma, like a rainbow-like swirling smoke. As a sign of that, draw a rainbow with black dye, and make the shape of the whirlwind into black wool, or a black horsetail, or black leaves of a tree. It is said. Some people will set up rainbows, etc. Nowadays, in practice, a black whirlwind is drawn on paper and erected like a screen. Also, the scripture says: The basis of all Yama's retinue is black clay, made into water ripples. As it is said, therefore, under the buffalo, use clay to symbolize the scene of black water waves churning. After arranging it in this way, place the above mandala facing north. Before that, as it is said that a black base is needed, so spread a clean and large black cloth. First, in front of Yama, offer a blood Argham, five senses or black grain flowers, incense of a lot of grease, An oil lamp of a lot of grease, bile washing water, and as a substitute for Chitta's food, arrange the black triangular Torma in three-cornered containers, which is the practice of our school. It seems reasonable to divide food and Torma into two types. The scripture says: Initially, it seems to be made into one, but in the actual offering, two offering words appear, so the first is food and the second is Torma, so the black Torma decorated with flesh and blood should be arranged in a three-dimensional shape. In addition, pile various kinds of meat, blood, grains, silks, clothes, gems, various foods, spices, and various substitutes on the cloth, and pile them separately as much as possible. Drinks such as blood, milk, and water should also be filled in containers. The scripture says: Arrange the containers with handles, which can be replaced by the above offerings. As it is said that a black bushel is needed, make it according to the ritual, and if not, as Rigdzin Ngag gi Wangpo said, it is permissible to draw the wheel of the bushel, although there are many traditions, but here according to the way it appears in the profound treasure of our school Rigdzin Legden Je, draw it with non-repeating colors such as cinnabar or rouge. The scripture says to arrange various substitutes, and the preliminary ritual of death awakening here

It is said that five types of effigies should be made as substitutes (for life). The method is: The root (text) says: "Mix various impurities of oneself with the flour of various grains, and make five human figures: white, yellow, red, green, and variegated. Use silk, wool, dyes, grains, and tsampa, in numbers equal to the age. In a clean container, on top of the grains, place the five figures and cover them with cloth." The commentary on this says: "Then, mix one's own saliva, nasal mucus, eye mucus, phlegm, feces, urine, hair, and nails with the flour of various grains, using the water with which one's body has been washed. Make five human figures: white, yellow, red, green, and variegated, and adorn them with silk and wool dyes. Place them on top of a pile of grains in a clean container, and cover them with a piece of one's own cloth, encircling them with tsampa equal to the age." As stated above, mix the flour of various grains with the wastewater from washing the entire body or five limbs of oneself or the patron, as well as saliva, phlegm, eye mucus, earwax, feces, and urine. Make one larger figure of oneself in the center, and four smaller figures in the four directions. All five figures should be standing, with their hands in the gesture of granting wishes, making the faculties and sense bases distinct. Place the hair and nails in their respective places. The text says that the center is variegated, and the other directions are their respective colors, so the colors should also be their respective colors. The decorations, clothes, hats, etc., should be clear in appearance. According to the text, the center is variegated, the east is white, the south is yellow, the west is red, and the north is green, and these colors should be dominant. The necessity for this is: In the 'Nectar Swirling Aversion of Death,' it says: For the lords of the five elements, the variegated effigy in the center represents the sky, the white in the east represents water, the yellow in the south represents earth, the red in the west represents fire, and the green in the north represents wind, symbolizing the offering of the patron's mind, flesh and blood, warmth, and breath as substitutes. This is very important and is the profound meaning of the key instruction. Cover the effigy with dirty clothes, and also adorn it with silk and wool dyes. Make tsampa balls with the left hand from leftover food, three more than the age, and pour in various leftovers of food and drink. Sprinkle with powdered jewels, and arrange them in a precious container like a katora (a type of bowl) filled with grains, in the center of the various effigy items in front of Yama. Around it, monks, disciples, patrons, etc., whoever can come to deliver the effigy may come.
