Like that. Now, may you, the Lama, grant me empowerment and blessings. Having prayed in this way, light radiates from the heart of the master. From the realm of intrinsic nature, the five families of empowerment deities, with consorts and retinue, are invited. Offerings such as argham are made. I pray that all the Tathagatas bestow the supreme empowerment upon this one. Having prayed in this way, visualize the five families of deities, identical to oneself, with consorts, coming forth holding vases filled with the nectar of wisdom, to bestow empowerment upon you all. Holding the vase, [he says:] Just as at the time of birth, the gods bathed him, so with pure divine water, I bestow empowerment upon you. All adverse conditions that harm and afflict the body are pacified. You are empowered and have the fortune to meditate on the body of Amitayus through the door of the body, and you will achieve the nirmanakaya adorned with marks and signs as the result. The teacher says, "Visualize the rosary of mantras as a flower garland and imagine it being placed on your heads." While ringing the bell, place the flower on the head and say, "Bhagavan, please bestow this, please grant initiation to this. Please bestow the accomplishment of mantra. Please perfect the activity. Please stabilize the vows. May all the blessings of the speech-wisdom mantra of the Bhagavan Protector Amitayus enter and remain firm in the minds of these vidyadharas." By this, recite auspicious words such as those closely indicated. By this, may the sins and obscurations accumulated through the door of speech be purified. May all adverse conditions that harm and injure speech be pacified. May you have the power to recite the speech-wisdom mantra of Amitayus through the door of speech. May you have the fortune to manifest speech vajra. The result is the attainment of the Sambhogakaya, endowed with the sixty qualities of melodious speech.
