Having obtained these three, this life-accomplishing immortal Vajra life-essence, which embodies the meaning of all three, was personally bestowed by the great master achiever Palden Dorje, who attained the rainbow body. He bestowed it upon the all-knowing Sonam Gyatso Pal Sangpo in the sunlit chamber of Drepung Monastery. He bestowed it upon Khonton Dorje Chang Paljor Lhundrup. He bestowed it upon Zurchen Choying Rangdrol. He bestowed it upon Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso, the all-knowing and all-seeing great protector of the snowy land, who was praised more than once with Vajra words by the all-knowing Orgyen Chenpo. From the time he widely propagated it until our glorious and holy Lama, the lineage has been unbroken. Secondly, among the instructions that come from that, there are two: accomplishing longevity for oneself through one's own yoga, and accepting disciples for others through the vase ritual. Here, for the empowerment ritual of accepting disciples, everything that the teacher should do has already been completed in advance. For your part, first offer the mandala and repeat this supplication three times: Omniscient Yeshe Phungpo Chen, purifier of the wheel of existence, today's precious treasure that is spoken of, may the chief one bestow grace upon me. In order to have the continuum endowed with vows, in the presence of the glorious Lama and the protector Amitayus, surrounded by the assembly of refuge, the Three Jewels, generate the supreme Bodhicitta with the Three Refuges as the preliminary. Think like this. Repeat this three times: I take refuge in the Three Jewels, etc. Then, the mandala is shown: This longevity vase in front, outwardly in the form of a precious vase, inwardly in the center of a palace with four sides and four doors, complete with all characteristics, supported by lions, a precious throne, and various lotus sun and moon cushions.
