If harmony is a favorable condition, if it descends as a fiend, it is an unfavorable condition. That is because the actions performed by the other party will not exceed pointing to any of the four elements. In order to purify such sins, generally purify the poison of the elements. Hum. (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།) From the spontaneously accomplished palace of self-nature, From the samadhi of the three bodies, By the power of the mantra practitioner's actions, And with the arising of the antidote deities and protectors, By the miraculous transformations of the messenger of activity, The fierce substances of deity, mantra, and samadhi, Years, months, planets, stars, and hours, And the timing of causes, suppressing the earth deities, Meeting face to face, casting in sins, With the meditation of emptiness and space, Pressing under the earth, And pointing to the element of water, The fierce fire offering of the fire element, The subtle ones revolving in the wind wheel, By the harmony of enemies, fiends, and internal strife, All the reversed actions done by oneself, By the blessings of substance, mantra, and power, May all sins be pacified! Generate faith that all the curses caused by performing fire offerings with the fire element emerge from your body and dissolve into the fire. Fire is the nature of heat and burning, purify all afflictions and desire, may discriminating wisdom be clear! Next is to release the curse of the five inner afflictions: For example, just as a magnet attracts iron, because your being has the obscurations of karma and afflictions, all adverse conditions such as curses will gather, so it is very important to purify sins and obscurations. Therefore, visualize yourself in an ordinary state, on a lotus and moon seat above your head, from a white Hum syllable arises Vajrasattva, with a white body color, having a peaceful and smiling demeanor, holding a vajra and bell, adorned with silk and jewels, in union with the white Vajrasattva consort. Having visualized in this way, confess all the sins and obscurations accumulated from beginningless lifetimes, and vow not to commit them in the future, with firm determination recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra and this essence mantra, visualize that the stream of bodhicitta nectar arising from the body purifies all sins and obscurations like black smoke.
