The offerings are milk, white flowers, white sandalwood, white incense, etc., filled with water mixed with white fragrance, placed nearby. White flowers, white incense wood, and the five objects of enjoyment represented by the three white substances are arranged in a row. It is convenient if both parts are complete. The containers for these are all white in color and round in shape, such as silver, conch shells, and fish skins. If all the essences are not naturally available, they are transformed into white with milk, etc. If there are leftovers from a feast or a feast offering, they are placed here. The activity vase or the container for incense water, along with the Kusha grass sprinkler, is also placed. Second, the substances for burning: Although there are many variations in the number and quantity according to the size of the ritual and slight differences in the substances themselves, the main ones are the fourteen categories mentioned in the Vinaya-samuccaya, namely, one kind of firewood from the Yang tree. Or the fourteen great substances made by combining milk, yogurt, honey, and yogurt-tsampa, or the eleven well-known ones after subtracting white mustard seeds, namely: Yang wood, butter, sesame, white mustard seeds, yogurt-tsampa, rice, barley, wheat, beans, Durva grass, Kusha grass, and milk. From these, the melted white butter is placed conveniently on the right side in a container like white copper. The others are also arranged on a white platform to the right of the teacher, according to the order of their respective texts. Yang wood is for pacifying rituals. There are said to be four or twelve finger-widths, etc., and there are many variations in size depending on the increase or decrease of the four fingers, but here we follow the common saying. Yang wood is one that has the essence of nectar and milk. Since real Udumbara, etc., cannot be found, it is made from the top part of a good white wood like white willow, straight and unbroken, about the size of a thumb. It is smeared with the three white substances and fragrance, the top is smeared with milk, and the base is smeared with butter. Using white sesame seeds is done because it is needed for the overall pacifying activity. When specifically purifying sins, black sesame seeds are sufficient. Yogurt-tsampa is also sometimes made with flour, but it should be tsampa mixed with the three white substances. The rice should be unbroken, the barley should be without awns, and the beans should be Masha beans, or if not found, white Tibetan beans. The wheat and barley should also be white without bran. The Kusha grass, smeared with Durva grass and butter, must be undamaged. The containers for arranging grains, etc., are the same as the offering substances. All of these are arranged in two layers, according to past and future. If it is necessary to pile up a large number of items, then all the burning substances mentioned earlier are piled up.

Mix as much as possible non-toxic flowers, medicines, precious foods, fruits, etc., that are white, soft, and sweet, and place them in one container. Prepare white silk or cotton clothes. Tooth powder. For the ornaments to be offered, use conch shells or crystals, strung with white cotton thread. Combine fresh green kusha grass in pairs, not damaged and not too long, divide into five portions, or when spreading out, stack them appropriately. Seventh is the nectar pill, the color and markings are similar to the hearth. As it is said, made of silver or copper, etc., white in color and round in shape, marked with a vajra or wheel, the size etc. varies greatly, so it should be learned from elsewhere. Eighth is the fire, taken from the monastery such as the monks' living quarters, places related to the Brahmin's residence, or produced from rubbing wood. The igniter should be a monk who keeps the precepts or a pure boy. White flint. A fan made of a vulture's wing or white cloth with the white (Tibetan: རཾ, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Rang) written on it. It is said in the sutra to ignite from the east, but in all four activities it is also seen to ignite from the southeast. Ninth is the teacher's attire, after bathing, anoint the body with fragrant scents. Wear white clothes. Tie the head and topknot with white silk or white flowers. Decorate with rosaries of conch shells, crystals, etc. Apply dots on the three places with a paste of white sandalwood and milk, and scatter three grains. The cushion is also spread white. It is best if the activity vajra etc. also have white decorations to show symbolism. Tenth is the posture, the so-called vajra posture, that is, the vajra full lotus posture, or the left foot pressing the right foot with both knees bent, facing the mandala or the east in the lotus posture. Facing the hearth, sit peacefully and gently on the platform in front, placing the nectar pill mouth to mouth between the vajra bell. Hand drum. Inner offering. Flowers. Mustard seeds etc. are also arranged. Eleventh is the thought, based on the great compassion of wishing all beings to be established in the state of Buddhahood. Thinking of pacifying sins, diseases, evil spirits and obstacles, do not be separated from this wish. Second, the actual fire offering is divided into four parts: preliminary practices, offering to worldly deities, offering to transcendental deities, offering thanks to the fire god and sending him away.
