Purifying sins with the corpse is the actual practice for the activity, as explained in the general context of the location texts. When there is a support, it is done on that, and when there is no support, those rituals are performed relying on paper. It is considered that this includes all the doors of sin purification of sins mentioned in the purification tantra. The six realms of establishment are also only differences in elaboration and abbreviation, and are the same in terms of reversal rituals and key points. The third is placing it in a stupa: It is rare to practice this nowadays. However, the purification tantra says: "Then the yogi, with mantras and mudras, empowers it, and after showing it as the form of a deity, places it in the center of the stupa." The meaning of what is said is: If the corpse is not cremated but placed, then empowerment, path purification, and teachings should be done beforehand. Make clay with the water used to wash the corpse. At the base of the stupa, write down the names of all the obstacles of the deceased and related words and press them down. On top of that, build a stupa in accordance with the rules, such as establishing a Yaksha treasury, and place the corpse in the vase. Since purification bathing has been done beforehand, generate, invite, dissolve, empower, offer praise, recite, etc. After the stupa is completed, hold consecration celebrations, etc. There are three differences in the shape of the stupa: Bimba (Sanskrit: Bimba, image), pavilion, victory banner, etc. The first is: like an overturned bowl on a moon cushion. The second pavilion is: made into a square single or double layer, that is, rooms and rooms stacked on top of each other. The third, like a victory banner, is: lotus piles and the Great Bodhi Stupa, etc., the eight Sugata stupas, which are widely known. Among them, for the person mentioned here, the first two are suitable, as well as a simple stupa without an umbrella. A completely perfect stupa is not suitable for anyone other than the Buddha, so it is for placing the four types of relics or the supreme master, etc., so it is said. The fourth is placing it in the offerings of the house: The sutra says: "After writing the heart mantra of one's own deity and other deities on the heart, place it in the house." The meaning of what is said is: After purification bathing, etc. is done as before, if the corpse practice has not been done beforehand, then write the heart mantra of one's own or the deceased's deity with saffron and tie it on the heart. Also place other location texts. Clothes that match the living person's refuge.

After wrapping it with..., place it in a container made of precious jewels, wood, or earth in a secluded place in one's own home or in a cemetery. For a monk, make it in the shape of a white stupa; for a layperson, make it like a red joined lotus; for a king, make it like a blue crown; for a minister, make it like a reddish-white coral jewel; for other men, make it like a yellowish-white throne; for women, make it like a bluish-white bilva fruit; for children, make it like a reddish-yellow begging bowl. Place the corpse inside with its head facing west and its face facing south, with its palms joined at the crown of its head. Fill the spaces with salt or sand. If it is a wet corpse, place a container filled with charcoal underneath to catch the dripping water. Tie a red thread to the hair or hand, pull it out, and tie it to the ground on the west side. Erect an umbrella above it. Draw the seven precious jewels on the outside of the container. Arrange whatever offerings are available around it. Perform the generation, absorption, empowerment, offering, praise, etc., as before, and it is said that offerings should be made regularly. Fifth, purifying with fire offering: The tantra says, "His flesh and bones, hair and ashes, etc., like that ritual, if a fire offering is performed, one will be completely liberated from all the lower realms." This is the meaning of what was said. If the place where the fire offering is to be performed has not been purified before, then make it suitable by means of examination, summoning, etc. There, build a square fire altar one fathom in width, and on top of it draw a ground plan, that is, draw the mandala of whatever deity it is, including the deity's symbols. Like Kun Rig, it is difficult to accomplish the extensive practice of joining two mandalas together, drawing the root mandala inside the fire altar, and drawing the guest altar in the back, etc. Therefore, no matter what deity it is, only draw the peaceful fire altar for the fire offering. It is easy and meaningful to arrange the deity's symbols, piles, etc., of whatever mandala is in the center, so do it that way. Smear the platform with cow dung and perfume, and draw lines at the corners of Brahma. Starting from the center, draw a circle one span high, and outside of that, draw a four-finger-wide lip and edge in turn. Inside the circle, surround it with a vajra garland, and arrange the deity's symbols in the center of the eight lotus petals and stamens. On the outside of the four corners, draw half-moon vajra symbols with colored powder, and cover them with white cloth painted with eight lotus petals, which has been drawn with vase water. Outside the edge of the fire altar, build a square structure for the corpse room, such as a pigsty, as appropriate.
