A Concise and Clear Nectar of Benefit for All: A Practical Guide to Funeral Rites, Cremation, Stupa and Tsa-Tsa Making. Infinite Wisdom. A Concise and Clear Nectar of Benefit for All: A Practical Guide to Funeral Rites, Cremation, Stupa and Tsa-Tsa Making. Infinite Wisdom. Herein lies what is called "A Concise and Clear Nectar of Benefit for All: A Practical Guide to Funeral Rites, Cremation, Stupa and Tsa-Tsa Making." Namo Guru Buddha Bodhisattvaya. By merely hearing their names, may all the wheels of existence be shattered. May the great aspiration of the powerful resolve be accomplished. To the gurus, buddhas, and bodhisattvas, I prostrate with reverence, protect us from the fears of the four waters. Conditioned nature is like four rivers. When approaching the end, the necessary methods, easy to grasp, are written according to the tantras and the intentions of the wise. Whenever one approaches the final moment, may all the victorious ones save us from the suffering of samsara and the lower realms, and lead us to the state of liberation and bliss. As clearly stated in the sutras, tantras, and commentaries, the great charioteers of Tibet have followed this practice, opening the path of goodness for all beings. Although this excellent tradition still remains in some aspects, it is extremely rare to find those who practice it properly due to the influence of the times. Therefore, although I am aware that writing is cumbersome, I will briefly mention a few points for those who are interested. First, the person performing the funeral rites for the deceased must be based on the altruistic bodhicitta and genuine compassion. It is essential to have vows and commitments, and to have attained some stability in the samadhi of the two stages. The methods of practice are extensively explained in the new and old tantras for the benefit of the deceased. To summarize the practices that are currently performed, they can be categorized into three: location guidance, cremation, and stupa construction. For location guidance, one must know the mandala ritual; for cremation, one must know the fire offering ritual; and for stupa construction, one must know the consecration ritual. All of these are the activities of a vajra master, which are the ten stages. Therefore, one must listen to and study the higher tantras. Even if one has not done so, it is crucial to have a good understanding of the oral instructions and practices of the lineage of gurus. These are of utmost importance.
