Where does the realm of appearance go? If there are three places of origin, dwelling, and cessation, what are its shape, form, and color? If one thinks it does not exist, where is the one who thinks it does not exist? Are appearance and mind one or different? If they are one, is the mind a substance like appearance? If they are different, does the mind go there and then know appearance, or does appearance come here and then know? If one thinks that mind arises from mind, are there two minds, before and after? If one thinks it arises from emptiness, then it would follow that it could also arise from inanimate, empty space, etc. Grasp the key points, and before thoroughly distinguishing them, keep questioning and searching for flaws. This is the root of the meaning of mind, so do not give instructions until there is a definite understanding of one's own nature. If recognition arises, then, like this, the nature called "mind" is the nature of emptiness, free from elaboration. It cannot be found by searching, and there is no source from which it arises. In the middle, it is free from all conceptions of "dwelling here now." In the end, there is no object to which one can say, "going here." It has not gone anywhere, and it does not dwell anywhere. In reality, it cannot be indicated by the word "this," because its essence is free from any grasping. Just at the moment of arising, its nature is clear and bright, indescribable. Slightly clear, it is empty; slightly empty, it is clear, inseparable, like the nature of space, the inexpressible clarity and emptiness. Similarly, when examining the forms, sounds, etc. that arise in the realm of the five senses, as well as the first consciousness that arises as the object to be grasped, and the grasping mind, etc., they cannot be found or identified in any of the three: outer, inner, or intermediate. Like the reflection in a mirror, it does not come from anywhere in the beginning, because there is no substance. In the middle, although it seems to appear, it is actually empty, because it is separated from the root, so it does not dwell anywhere. In the end, it does not go anywhere, because it has no substance. Since it transcends all concepts such as existence and non-existence, being and non-being, its nature is inexpressible, free from grasping and effort. One should maintain a state of natural relaxation, without clinging, in a state of wakefulness. Third, the practice of meditating on the blazing and dripping of bliss-emptiness tummo is divided into two: common and uncommon. The first is divided into four: outer, inner, secret, and suchness tummo. First, outer tummo, meditating on the emptiness of the body: sit with the body straight, legs in the vajra posture, hands in the samadhi mudra, elbows extended without slackening, spine straight, back of the neck slightly stretched.

Then, make the neck like a bend. Stick the tongue to the palate. With the eyes fixed on the tip of the nose, the body posture does not change, so the wind flows naturally. Because the wind is calm and the mind has few thoughts, etc., it has many merits, so first learn the body posture. Then, purify all phenomena of samsara and nirvana into emptiness. From emptiness, from (Tibetan: པཾ, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: वं) arises a lotus, and from (Tibetan: རཾ, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 让) arises a sun mandala, on which one's own mind is the red letter (Tibetan: མཿ, Devanagari: मः, Romanized Sanskrit: maḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嘛) with a bindu. From (Tibetan: མཿ, Devanagari: मः, Romanized Sanskrit: maḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嘛) emanate rays of light, offering to the noble ones. Accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. The light rays converge and dissolve into (Tibetan: མཿ, Devanagari: मः, Romanized Sanskrit: maḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嘛), completely transforming into oneself as Vajravarahi, with a red body color. One face, with a peaceful yet wrathful demeanor. The right hand holds a curved knife raised in the sky. The left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood. The heel of the right foot is placed on the (Tibetan: བྷ་ག་, Devanagari: भग, Romanized Sanskrit: bhaga, Literal Chinese meaning: bhaga). The left foot is slightly extended, seated in a semi-lotus posture on top of the sun mandala. Adorned with a garland and necklace of dry and wet human heads. Decorated with bone ornaments and precious jewels. On the crown of the head, a black pig face makes a snorting sound, thereby overcoming the army of obstacles. Residing in the center of blazing wisdom fire. That should also be visualized as outwardly clear and inwardly clear, like an inflated bellows, or having the nature of red light, and meditate until a clear and stable understanding is obtained. Second, the practice of purifying the inner heat by meditating on the empty space of the channels: In the center of the body, which is visualized as oneself as Vajravarahi, is the central channel, straight. The upper end penetrates into the Brahma aperture at the crown of the head, inside of which is a moon mandala, on which is a white letter (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: हम) facing downwards. The lower end reaches four fingers below the navel. That should also be visualized as bright as a sesame oil lamp. As red as safflower juice. As thin as a lotus petal. As straight as a tree trunk by the water, possessing four characteristics. First, focus the mind on the extremely subtle point. Then gradually from the thickness of a horse's tail. To the thickness of a wheat awn. Then to the thickness of an arrow shaft. Bamboo stick. One's own body. Houses. Countries, etc., until finally the central channel pervades as far as the sky pervades. Abide in the state of the central channel, mind, and sky being inseparable. Again, converging back, becoming increasingly subtle. Visualize as a medium-sized bamboo stick. To its right is the red Rasana channel and to its left is the white Lalana channel, with the three channels aligned in the manner of relying on the central channel, the Rasana and Lalana channels residing straight in the center of the body.
