It is necessary to invoke. This empowerment, this fire offering, any of the four activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating can be performed. If performing aversion, erecting a linga, listening, witness, summoning the life force, separating the deity, employing messengers, teaching the Dharma, performing aversion, longevity bathing, offering torma, separating the life force, breaking the linga, oral transmission, transferring the place, prophesying, prayers, and dedication, these seventeen activities briefly demonstrate the work of liberation. The summarized aversion is performed as follows: Hūṃ! Homage to the Bhagavan, the Great Glorious Vajrakumara, whose body is dark blue-black, with three faces and six arms, subduing all the wrathful deities of the families, averting all the armies of other emanated wrathful ones. The three faces avert the three poisons into body, speech, and mind. The white face on the right averts harm from the male lineage. The red face on the left averts harm from the female lineage. The blue face in the center averts the dualistic enemies and demons. May the afflictions, the three poisons, and obstacles be averted into the realm of reality. The hair, reddish-yellow, stands upright, averting all the evil enemies and demons of the three realms. The white fangs of the face are tightly clenched, I beseech you to slay all flesh-eating spirits. The five skull crown is complete upon the head, averting all blood-drinking messengers and harmful ones. The three eyes, with angry gaze, moving upwards and downwards, avert all demons and obstacles in the upper, lower, and intermediate realms. The first right hand holds a nine-pronged vajra, averting all the conceptual gatherings and obstacles of the nine grounds. The second hand holds a five-pronged vajra, averting all the obstacles of the five poisons of affliction. The first left hand holds a mass of wisdom fire, burning and averting the enemies and demons of name-grasping samsara. The last two hands hold Mount Meru pegs, averting and slaying the enemies and demons who obstruct the path to liberation. Covered with the upper garment of a great charnel ground, averting all enemies and demons born from jealousy. Wearing an elephant skin, averting the enemies and demons of ignorance. Wearing a garland of skulls, averting mental thoughts and concepts. The hands and feet are adorned with bundles of snakes, averting all the harmful spirits of the nāgas in the lower direction. Wearing a crown of dry skulls, averting all the harmful spirits of the gods in the upper direction. Wearing a tiger skin as a lower garment, averting all the hosts of demons of pride and arrogance. With a large heap of ashes and drawings of fat, averting the essence of samsara.
