Even if one is harmed by the curses of outsiders, spirits, or sorcery, or if one's life is threatened by harmful spells, Hearing your name pacifies the harm and suffering, donning the armor of loving-kindness, I prostrate and praise you. The life-sustaining physician sage, with yellowish-white skin, The sage Caraka with white skin, The sage with the leopard's body with reddish-white skin, The sage Zhungkyé with bluish-green complexion. It is also acceptable to complete the recitation every day, for seven, ten, or twenty-one days, etc. Count the mantras as ten thousand or a hundred thousand times, etc. There is no fixed time or number. The signs are that from the left and right of the sky, sounds loudly resonate, and many beautiful women and many children gather. They run and jump while playing, and call us, asking what's the matter? Women offer crystals and various medicines. If it really appears, say, 'What should I do? Please tell me.' If they say that, then say, 'What is the disease of sentient beings? What is beneficial? Please tell me.' The signs are that the best is a real phenomenon, the medium is an experience, and the worst appears in dreams. Obtain or take crystals and mirrors, butter lamps, and flower garlands. The accomplishment of medicinal water drops appears. Give or offer medicines such as Arura and the three white foods and alcohol, and a great beneficial accomplishment will appear. If you blow a conch shell and play musical instruments, according to the size of the sound of the instruments, you will gain fame as an expert in medicine. Give or obtain medical books, and the understanding of medicine will greatly increase. Raising flags and sitting on a throne, with many people prostrating, offering food and wealth, the accomplishment of taming medical disciples will appear. Directly meet the Medicine Buddha, or see the painted or sculpted image of the Medicine Buddha. Both supreme and common accomplishments will appear. The sun and moon rise and wear white clothes, cross a great river and drink milk, and impure pus and blood flow from the body. These are signs of purifying obscurations. Worms and pus and blood come out of the body, and dreaming of vomiting impure things, you will be freed from disease. Dreaming of encouraging people to recite the six-syllable mantra in the street, and building a great bridge, the benefit of sentient beings will increase. The body is comfortable, the mind is clear, and the wisdom is bright. Faith is pure, disgust is great, and the realization of the true nature arises. This is a sign of supreme accomplishment. After completing the practice in this way, place the vase on your head and think that the Medicine Buddha is actually giving you empowerment.
