He should know that as the place of the father, thus he prayed. This is the first chapter on examining the time and place for establishing the basis for discussion and the questioner. The great powerful Vajrapani, the Lord of Secrets, further said: The objects and implements for practice, such as the supporting objects, the objects for practice, the objects for accomplishment, the food for sustenance and the medicine for averting obstacles, the supports for body, speech, and mind, etc., especially in the mandala for practice, the ground ritual, the line ritual, etc., are in accordance with the general tantric mandala. The mandala has four petals and a surrounding circle, and outside of that there are ten petals, complete with corridors and doors, in accordance with the general structure. The center is dark blue beryl color, the four petals and ten petals are the colors of the directions, charnel grounds, lotuses, vajras, fire mountains, etc., are well arranged on the edge of the mandala. In the center of that, there is a vase made of precious jewels, full of auspicious signs, filled with twenty-five ritual objects, and water with eight qualities, adorned with a lei-bergan and other neck ornaments, tied with a protective cord, a vajra, and kusha grass, and can be decorated with a Bodhi tree, or with sandalwood or thorn wood, as the great powerful Vajrapani, holding a very wrathful posture, his own body as the support for practice, inviting him to reside in the center of the mandala. Outer offerings of flowers, incense, etc., inner offerings of medicine, torma, blood, etc., arranged like Samantabhadra's offering clouds. Having said this, this is the second chapter on explaining the mandala for practice, offerings, and supporting objects. Then again he said this, the great powerful Vajrapani, if one wishes to contemplate the mandala, that person should have bathing and vows, having first taken refuge and generated bodhicitta, commanding the four great kings, sealing the inner and outer boundaries, keeping silence, that person sits on a comfortable cushion, purifying the objects collected by the mantra-holding substances into emptiness without objects. From the state of emptiness and great compassion, from (Tibetan: ཡཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yang) arises the wind mandala, which is green and bow-shaped, marked with the seed syllable (Tibetan: ཡཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yang) and wind. From (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Rang) arises the fire mandala, which is triangular and burning, marked with (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Rang). From (Tibetan: བཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Wang) arises the water mandala, which is white and round, marked with (Tibetan: བཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Wang). From (Tibetan: ལཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: लं, Sanskrit Romanization: laṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Lang) arises the golden ground, which is square and pervades the edges and center, with a beryl net, the net pervading everywhere, with flower islands of lotus groves, Bodhi trees and wish-fulfilling trees, herb and grain gardens.

Etc. Think of the fields as pervading everywhere. Thus, in the center of the pure realm, from the seed syllable of the crossed vajra, from the center of the clearly appearing (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable), light radiates, illuminating the outer world, appearing as a divine palace. The light rays converge and dissolve into the (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable. From the complete transformation of the (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable, a palace made of lapis lazuli, with its interior and exterior completely clear, a realm of light, with ornaments and arrangements beyond comprehension, truly surpassing the three realms of defilement, manifesting the realm of activity of the Tathagatas, a vast and immeasurable palace. Thus, in the center of the clearly appearing abode, on a lotus, sun, and moon seat, The nature of one's own awareness is the syllable (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable), the color of lapis lazuli, radiating light with a short vowel and a bindu, greatly venerating the assembly of noble ones, purifying the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings. The light rays converge and dissolve into the (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable. The (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable is instantly recalled and perfected as the mighty Vajrapani, with one face, two arms, and a blue body. With an open mouth, a rolled tongue, and bared fangs, three round, red, darting eyes, and reddish-yellow hair blazing upwards. The right hand holds an iron vajra, emitting sparks of fire, destroying all wickedness. The left hand holds a threatening mudra with a serpent lasso, subduing the demon armies of those filled with hatred. Wearing a tiger skin lower garment, bound with white human skin as a head ornament, adorned with yellow Brahma earrings, and a limitless red necklace. On the powerful bracelets and anklets, hangs a garland of black outcasts' hair. Thus, even this clearly appearing body is clear as a body of empty light. In its heart, from the (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable arises a sun disc. The essence of the heart-mind is the (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable, dark blue-black, with a clear short vowel and bindu, surrounded by, A garland of mantras, clear as a garland of lamps. From the heart-mind (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Seed Syllable) syllable, light radiates. From the palace of Janglochen, the mighty Vajrapani, surrounded by a retinue of wisdom deities, comes forth into the sky in front. By reciting "Vajra Samaya Jah Jah," the vows of body, speech, and mind are invoked. Offerings such as argham are made. From the bodies of the assembly of wisdom deities, the wisdom deity is invited like the continuation of two lamps, dissolving into the body of the samaya deity. The samaya and wisdom are inseparable, the mighty Vajrapani, generate self-pride. Likewise, in the mandala in front, the palace of the vase.
