To bestow the Empowerment of Self-Liberation of Mind Itself, first offer a mandala as a request. Please repeat this supplication: Emaho! Lord of Dharma, the union of all Buddhas, Lama, who reveals the nature of reality, please consider us! We sentient beings in samsara, Are immersed in the realm of ignorance and darkness, Please ignite the lamp of compassion, Grant the supreme empowerment of self-awareness! (Repeat three times) Hūṃ! (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ!) I am the master of power and strength, I sever the root of the five poisons of affliction. I am the lamp of clear light, I dispel the darkness of beings. I am the supreme king of empowerment, I bestow the empowerment of realizing self-awareness. Thus, give the blessing and focus on the object of focus. Sons of the lineage, listen without distraction! A white stupa appears on the surface of the mirror, placed on the crown of the head, and so on for the lower ones as well. Hūṃ!
