Recite seven or three times, etc. Then gather the students. As it is said in the scripture: Bathe with the vase of action. The meaning is, visualize that from the body of red Hayagriva holding a staff and a threatening mudra in this vase of action, a stream of nectar flows down, purifying diseases, evil spirits, and sins, and take a bath and drink. Om(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) Vajra(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र, Sanskrit Romanization: vajra, Chinese literal meaning: Vajra) Krodha Hayagriva Hulu Hulu Hum(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Phat(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat). Sprinkle it on the crown of the head and let them drink. It is also permissible for the offering attendant to sprinkle water. Then cast the ransom offering. As it is said: Give ransom and torma to the obstacles. From Bhrum(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूं, Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Bhrum), in a precious vessel, the ransom torma becomes endowed with the five qualities of desire. Let it be offered outwards. Recite fierce mantras and strike musical instruments. Fiercely visualize the protective wheel. Therefore, visualize that from your own body emanates the wrathful one, the swirling nectar, dark blue. The three faces and six arms of white, blue, and red, the right holding a sword, a wheel, and an iron hook, the left holding a skull cup, a phurba, and a lasso. Endowed with all the attire of a wrathful one, the lower part of the body is a sky-iron phurba with burning flames, countless like a hailstorm, tormenting, punishing, and expelling all obstacles and those who obstruct life. Then whip, Om(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) Vajra(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र, Sanskrit Romanization: vajra, Chinese literal meaning: Vajra) Amrita Kundali Hum(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). Everything above and below is a vajra fence and tent foundation. The outer perimeter is the wheel of protection, the fire of wisdom with five colors, burning with a roaring sound, solid and stable. Om(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om) Vajra(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र, Sanskrit Romanization: vajra, Chinese literal meaning: Vajra) Raksha Raksha Hum(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Hum(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Phat(Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat) Svaha.

It is said in the Combined Oral Instructions: If the historical facts are not explained, then for this profound secret decisive instruction, the fault of disbelief will arise. Therefore, let me briefly tell the history. In the perfectly endowed place, the Western Pure Land of Sukhavati, the perfectly endowed teacher, the Lord of the Family, Amitabha, appears in the Sambhogakaya. When the perfectly endowed retinue, the Lord of Life, the Five Families, surrounded by countless heroes and heroines, were dwelling, at the request of the noble Avalokiteshvara and others, the Eighteen Tantras of Longevity and others were spoken. The dakinis wrote them on golden paper with lapis lazuli juice in dakini script, placed them in a box of five precious jewels, and hid them in the secret cave in the east of Mount Potala. After Shakyamuni Buddha passed away, the incarnate Padmasambhava was born on a lotus stem in the middle of the lake of Dhanakosha in the country of Oddiyana. He was also known as Guru Tso Kyé Dorje. Then, when Guru Rinpoche went to the Maratika cave, Avalokiteshvara and the dakini Secret Wisdom bestowed all the tantras and instructions. After practicing there for seven days, Amitayus of the Five Families actually appeared and gave the empowerment, and he obtained the Vajra body of no birth and no death. There he performed countless longevity practices, and also bestowed them on the goddess Mandarava and others, and they also obtained the longevity vidyadhara of no birth and no death. In addition, many longevity vidyadharas appeared, such as the great Acharya Hungchenkara of Oddiyana, Vimalamitra, and others. Then, at the invitation of King Trisong Detsen, he built one hundred and eight great monasteries such as Samye, and one thousand and two small monasteries in Tibet (reigned 755-797 AD). He subdued the demons of Tibet and blessed the land. He bestowed empowerments and instructions on the twenty-five disciples and others as appropriate. Jomo Tsoyal, the monk Namkhai Nyingpo, Nyangting Dzin Zangpo, Nub Sangye Yeshe, the great scholar Vairochana, and others also appeared as many who attained the longevity vidyadhara. There, when he gave the great empowerment of the Great Perfection, the Primordial Purity of the Sky, to the twenty-five disciples, King Trisong Detsen asked: Guru Rinpoche, by what means did you yourself obtain the longevity vidyadhara?
