Among them, the first, the basis or cause of what is practiced, is meditating on samādhi: Hūṃ! From the vast expanse of all-pervading, all-creating, dharmadhātu awareness, The unimpeded, clear, pure self-awareness, the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), From that, burn, scatter, and cleanse all three syllables, Clarify the emptiness free from clinging to objects. Second, generating the samaya mandala: First, meditate on the foundation elements in successive layers, Hūṃ! From that empty clarity, in an instant, From Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) radiate E Yaṃ Ra Suṃ Keṃ Raṃ, In order, space, wind, blood, earth, On top of the mountain of bones, fire blazes, On top of that, generate the supporting palace, From Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) radiate Bhrūṃ, the precious palace of Bhaṇḍā, The unmade, spontaneously accomplished, clear mandala of light, Without directions or boundaries, empty and clear, without center or edge, Without attachment, a great illusory palace, Bhrūṃ Viśva Viśuddhe Bhrūṃ! In each of its divine places, generate seats and thrones, Hūṃ! In the outer and inner charnel grounds, a mass of vajra fire, In the center and directions, in the center of the E mandala, The eight chief animals, Rudra Tira Vaṃ!
